Dougie was a great instructor who built my confidence and knowledge progressively and thoroughly. He was incredibly patient and explained things brilliantly. When I started with him I had no driving experience and went on to pass both my practical and theory tests 1st time.

Can’t fault Douggie and EDS. Professional, experienced and got me to passing standard in the short time window I had. Douggie is a joy to drive with! good chat, calm cool collected when I made mistakes, and with expert tips that I found ticking through my mind through out test. If you are looking for a driving school, I 10/10 recommend based off my experience.

I spent a long time researching driving schools before I settled on Edinburgh Driving School; the initial phone call to the amazing Lynda in the office sealed it for me. As an extremely nervous driver after a car accident in the past I truly never thought I would ever get the confidence to pass but I did, first time!! Everyone at EDS is patient, helpful above and beyond (Lynda is possibly the most amazing and well informed person ever!) and all I can say is a massive thank you! Doug, you are the Super instructor.

Fantastic experience. With a bad experience of another driving school, I have now had 2 kids (at ages 17 and 22) go through Edinburgh Driving School. Paid for lessons in blocks of 10, and it was well worth it. Efficient email communication and organisation. Accomodating scheduling. Fabulous instructor Dougie, so very experienced. Both my kids passed their test FIRST time!! Can't beat that!

I had a really positive experience learning to drive with The Edinburgh Driving School. My instructor Alex got me up to test standard very quickly and I passed the first time I took the test. The Edinburgh Driving School put together a comprehensive package with complete lesson plans and an instructor who was really committed to helping me learn and drive safely. A great experience and very good value, I would recommend Alex and The Edinburgh Driving School to anyone!
