Walk in, great customer service, friendly staff. I arrived, about an hour to close, and was helped with no issues, no wait. Two somewhat smaller pieces done, and great service, timing, and speedy check out. Rate seemed very reasonable for two pieces in two different locations, with after care kit included, never got that with other tattoo shops. Very nice way to get repeat clients! One star reduction was due to CASH ONLY, ATM available inside, but be prepared for a high fee, $4.50! Outside lighting for shop seemed dark and hard to see at night.
Nicole did my tattoo and did amazing! She did it at an affordable rate and went above and beyond to do it at a timely rate.
What started as a impulsive decision to skip class and drive to the closest tattoo shop ended in my absolute favorite tattoo i have thanks to Rodney. I made another appointment with him recently and he managed to turn a trainreck of a tattoo done by another artist into something i can’t wait to show off in the summer. The people at the front desk are always kind. Highly recommend this shop!
Absolutely love my new tattoo!! ❤ I was a walk-in on Tuesday and they were able to take me. Only waited about 20 mins while my artist Rodney drew up what I wanted and help with the color and placement on my arm. Definitely recommend if you're looking to get your next ink!
I went to another place before here and was told my idea simply could not work on my forearm. I then asked for something considerably smaller and was told to make an appointment, not super unreasonable but I wanted the tattoo I wanted and I wanted it that day. So I found The Independence and called ahead and was told to come in. I described the concept of what I wanted and was told it'd be no problem, 20 minutes later they showed me the design. 40 minutes later I was getting what I wanted, where I wanted, how I wanted. The guy who did mine (I can't remember his name sadly but he had a beard and head tats) was professional, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I paid 500 for a pretty big sized piece that included text which I felt was fair. I highly recommend this place and will be back to work on my sleeve.
