The Monastery AZ ist eine einladende Kunstgalerie und ein Atelier in Peoria, die Workshops, Töpferkurse und wechselnde Ausstellungen anbietet. Besucher loben das freundliche Personal und die Mischung aus fachkundiger Anleitung und kreativer Freiheit sowie fröhliche Eröffnungen. Die Eigentümer Michael und Charith schaffen einen unprätentiösen Raum, der lokale Kunst in den Mittelpunkt stellt, und das Motto 'Art Will Save Us' – mit der Möglichkeit, nach dem Brennen fertige Stücke mit nach Hause zu nehmen.

We did a wheel pottery class with Asa. He was a great teacher and we had a good time getting to create our pieces. Love that we get to take our items home after the kiln/painting!
As an artist, I had a 6 month exhibition here. The owners are great to work with. Get communication and easy to talk to. Plus the location is really good. Recommend going and seeing the local art. Also taking some local art home with you to would be even better!
I’ve been to a couple workshops at the Monastery and have enjoyed both! The people who work and teach here are so kind and supportive. I particularly loved the most recent workshop I went to creating a life journey mandala. It was one of the first times I was able to freely create without thinking or getting in my head too much and loved the blend of guided instruction and freedom to go with the flow. I look forward to going to more events and workshops in the future. Also got to check out the art that’s on display here…so many talented artists!
I recently took the pottery wheel workshop here and it was so much fun! I had no idea this place existed and I’m signed up for another class! The space is super cool, filled with art and little fun things around every corner! Check it out!!
Great space for art shows and classes: unpretentious, joyful, and really fun openings. I was there for the exhibit titled "Illuminations" and Michael and Charith the owners were enthusiastically welcoming during the opening, and all the artists were so gracious and informative. I hope the shop space expands, the classes are always full, and people will support this great venture, since as their motto states, "Art Will Save Us."
