I wish I could give more than 5 stars to The Music Academy of Port St Lucie! After being at another music school in town for a year and a half, and leaving because of mistreatment to my children, I came to The Music Academy of Port St Lucie with very blunt and honest expectations that I was very open with the staff about. Since joining, continuously, week after week, Ms. Julia and her team reconfirm that we made the best decision coming here! A year and half at another music school in PSL and my kids could "play" their instruments but they couldn't read the notes to play. They went to their lessons because it is part of their homeschool journey, it was a task, but never a joy and not something they looked forward to weekly. First lesson at TMAPSL Ms. Julia and her team were teaching my kids to read music, follow along to a metronome, teaching the symbols, lines and beats! My family and everyone for the matter, that enters TMAPSL is always greeted with such JOY! Never have I seen their staff be short or harsh. When you walk in you instantly get the feeling (and the reminder the more you go) that they TRULY LOVE what they do, that they are living their best life being able to get paid to share their passion. I have started bringing a lot of my work and projects to fiddle with while my kids are in their lessons because the space is honestly so inspiring - so productivity is increasing for me also! Communication and transparency honestly are the big ones for me at TMAPSL. There are cameras in every single room, every square inch to where I can see my kids in the waiting room - I can see all 3 kids at once and know that they are safe. The doors to the classes also have half windows so I can peek in, and hear their lessons without interrupting. The individual rooms also have monitors and cameras so my kids can see me in the waiting area. We have a very busy schedule as a working homeschool family so I greatly appreciate the reminders for our lessons! Anytime a payment is applied to my kids account or when their next invoice is ready - communication always happens. As a parent, I'm always looking to point out examples to my kids in our community where I see adults really just truly loving what they do - loving the service they provide - and just having JOY in life, I hope my kids all choose professions one day where they love what they do, feel fulfilled at the end of each day and ready for another...The Music Academy of Port St Lucie is a perfect example of this. ❤️
Ms. Julia runs such a beautiful academy. Play responses and works so well with a busy schedule! My son take lessons for Mr. Tai, Ms. Julia, & Mr. Graham. I cannot say enough great things about the team. They truly take the time to pour love & guidance over them each week. Mr. Tai is so gifted and gentle. Mr. Graham has so much range in talents and has such a loving way to push the kids out of their comfort zone & keeps them on track their whole lesson. I couldn’t be happier. They are also direct provider for Step Up!
Miss Julia is amazing. We've been with her for some time. She is everything you would want in a music teacher. Deserving of more than 5 stars.
As as adult wanting to learn an instrument, I’m so happy I found Julia! The amount of patience and motivation she has, as well as training technique to teach you the way you personally need. I also see her with kids and she truly has a gift. All the teachers she has chosen was strategic and the entire company works in excellence.
The Music Academy of Port St. Lucie has become an integral part of our homeschool journey! Ms. Julia’s positive energy and warmth make every lesson a joy for my child. She truly embraces my child’s unique strengths and challenges, always creating a supportive and encouraging environment. My child looks forward to weekly lessons with Ms. Julia, feeling inspired and confident to continue practicing at home. The seasonal recitals are such a highlight, honoring the hard work of both staff and students. Highly recommend for anyone seeking passionate and welcoming piano instruction!
