We booked sweethawk for our wedding and honestly it was huge mistake. We had looked at a few different options for our wedding, but went with sweethawk, despite costing twice as much as any other option, as they said they provided servers. Said servers on the brochure, discussed servers at the tasting, had servers in the quote. 2 days before our wedding we asked “how many servers will we have” the answer - “none!” They said “don’t worry one of our cooks will run food” thankfully we did worry and decided to pay someone we knew to help serve on the night. We explained to sweethawk staff that they were there to assist the sweethawk server but not replace them. But Ofcourse that didn’t happen. Despite the tasting appearing to be in a junk yard, we were impressed with the food. We later found out that the owner cooks for the tasting. Had we received that quality of food we may have looked past it being slow on the night. When we arrived at our reception we noticed that the cooks were still prepping and setting up, less than 30 mins before service was supposed to start. The cooks could not keep up and were so slow getting food out and everything was stone cold. The server (who we paid) couldn’t get past the door because people were waiting at the door for the food to come out. The prawn ceviche was not prawn ceviche but a steamed prawn on a tostada. Ofcourse this was not served at the tasting. What a joke. When we complained we were told that a new team were rostered on for our wedding. Yep, à new team for someone’s wedding. They were so slow getting food out that they were still bringing cold food out hours later as we were cutting the cake. When we complained, and told them we wanted à partial refund, they offer us $265. Utterly pathetic. Avoid this company like the plague
Hired the Nighthawk Diner for our wedding in the Botanic Gardens and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The team went above and beyond on the day, the food was excellent and the communication on the lead up was good too. Absolutely delicious! Definitely would recommend the beef brisket and cauliflower tacos. Our dietary requirements were catered for with no fuss and nothing seemed to be a problem. All the staff on the day were enthusiastic and pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
We booked the Nighthawk Diner for our wedding and they really went above and beyond. The food was absolutely delicious, matched our menu choices exactly and was brought out to the guests at a constant pace. All considerations for dietary requirements were catered for, with even some special servings made for specific guests’ needs. I would absolutely recommend the Nighthawk in the future.
When we got engaged, we knew we wanted food truck catering for our wedding. What we didn't realise is how difficult that would be to find in Sydney. The Nighthawk Diner were our saving grace with their Tacohawk truck - they worked with us to figure out the logistics of food truck service for two different venues (one fell through) and I could not be happier with the results! The tasting was the most fun, romantic element of wedding planning HANDS DOWN and had us eating - and loving - things we'd usually never try. My husband actually proposed a second time as we left, that's how much fun we had. I am so grateful to my day-of coordinator who stalked me on the wedding day until I ordered food. One bite of my Miami Cuban and I was yelling at my guests "Are you guys eating this?! This is SO good!" I had some slight administrative frustrations getting details confirmed ahead of the day - e.g. we were originally underquoted 12+ months ahead of the wedding and the error was not picked up or the quote adjusted until less than 6 months out - but this was compensated with a discount and once I was able to speak to Celeste by phone about a week ahead of the event she answered all my outstanding questions and left me feeling very confident. Thank you Nighthawk for an INCREDIBLE food and bar experience. My only regret is being too busy and too anxious to eat more! P.S. their vegan/gluten free donuts were even better than the regular recipe. If I was ordering again I'd skip the "normal" recipe donuts and get them all vegan/gluten free, more lemon and poppyseed for me!!!
Verdammt coole Tacos!!! Die knusprigen Auberginen-Tacos sind ein absolutes Muss! Das Miami Cuban sandwich ist ein perfektes Beispiel dafür, wie man ein Milchbrötchen-Sandwich macht (normalerweise kein Fan davon, aber hier hat es definitiv funktioniert). Ich freue mich darauf, zurückzukommen und den Rest der Speisekarte auszuprobieren.
