Mel was amazing from the start. She was able to take up my daughter’s formal dress within a short timeframe. She is friendly, professional and did an outstanding job of taking up my daughter’s beautiful dress. I would definitely recommend Mel 10/10 😁
Mel at the Sowing Studio was wonderful. Reasonably priced, very easy to communicate with and did such a fantastic job at hemming two dresses in rapid time for me before a family wedding. Not only did she help with the hem, but helpful advice. The dresses were for my brother’s wedding, and I was torn on which one of four dresses to wear. We got it down to two. Unfortunately, one elegant dress was not mine so Mel altered and hemmed in a very delicate manner, and did not actually cut the dress by hand stitching it which was pretty much invisible to the naked eye unless looking for it and so that the stitching could be easily removed for my taller friend when I had to return it. The other dress required precision cutting of the outer layer, however, she was prepared to hem the lining if required. It just worked out perfectly for me and the timing. This was the second time I’ve used her services. The first time, I had a bridesmaid dressed altered/cut (an infinity dress), which are usually laser cut so it was great to have someone skilled do this. I will be back! Thanks, Mel!
