The Spire ist eine historische Veranstaltungsstätte in 230 Center St, San Antonio. Beautiful place for a wedding but the parking a different story. The owner Ellen has no communication skills on what needed to be acquired ahead of time. We were told two weeks prior the caterer needed food permits to be submitted. Also the company for the Spire needed to be added on to the caterers insurance. Again all this should have been said in the very beginning. Ellen had also mention they had a small fire awhile back and renovations were being done. Again all this should have been said in the beginning. Nice place 👌 Ellen needs to get her shit together
Beautiful venue with a lot of history. My sister had her wedding here and I love it. Born in San Antonio I never knew it was there but I wish I did.
We saw an Edgar Allen Poe speakeasy popup show here which was awesome. It made us curious if they did weddings as the venue is gorgeous and a historical site which was originally built in 1884 as the previous location of San Antonio’s oldest African American church. Flash forward a few years. We got married here in April 2024! Can’t say enough positive things about the entire experience to include working with venue coordinator Ellen and her team. Highly recommend and the value to cost ratio is excellent! We received many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was. We did our ceremony and reception here. The venue team flipped the room from ceremony to reception in 15 min seamlessly! Ample pay parking just outside the venue, at Baldwin parking garage, or valet at 1902 nightclub (formerly known as Sunset Station). Our wedding was during Fiesta so we were concerned about the downtown traffic but it all worked out great and without issues.
My daughter booked and paid for the venue before we (her parents) could see it. it’s nice? But there are some things it’s missing. There is no room for the bride to wait in before the ceremony. The parking is definitely going to be a challenge. This was only our preview! Will let you know how things go in November! Oh and we reimbursed our daughter the day she picked it out.
Naturally beautiful venue! We had our wedding here and it was perfect! Ellen, the wedding coordinator, and Javier made sure everything went smoothly. We managed to have our ceremony here then had our guests go outside for cocktail hour in the courtyard while they flipped the venue to the reception! Pictures to follow.
