I went to Tinto’s for the very first time & LOVED IT! Melina my server was PHENOMENAL & so caring to me as a guest. The food, her knowledge on the wine, and overall experience was spectacular! I Can’t wait to take my friends and family back!
Saw this place on some website, so my wife and I tried it out. We got wine flights and a charcuterie board, all of which were fantastic. Their flights are more of wine tastings, with descriptions of every wine and what we should be looking for while tasting them. We had an absolute blast. Braden was quite knowledgeable, and Jessica, the manager, was very kind and down-to-earth. I saw a review of this place being pricey, but they must have been nuts, as $20 for 5 glasses of quality wine is a steal. We ended up getting two bottles as well, and we still talk about how fantastic an experience this was while visiting Virginia Beach. We highly recommend going if you're even visiting the beach, it's worth the 20 minute drive to get there. We will definitely be visiting again when visiting Virginia Beach in the future!
Chef Daniel Domingo's paella was fantastic last night. And when I say fantastic, it was flashback good, taking me back to my travels through northern Spain. Most people don't even know that you can get a traditional paella without seafood, but it is very common in northern Spain, where fresh seafood could be hard to get. The chef's choice of seasonal vegetables was shiitake mushrooms and green onion, blended with the beef brisket to give the paella the depth of flavor you would expect from a great paella. The staff did an excellent job keeping the tables well-serviced on a busy night, and the wine tasting paired very well with the paella. You need to call to find out when dinner service is offered. It is not every night, and the menu rotates, so be patient and make your reservation early for Chef Daniel's next paella night.
We absolutely love Tinto. We call it our Cheers. The vibe is always relaxed and friendly, the staff is really knowledgeable about the wine and we always make friends whenever we go. We are members and love the wine dinners monthly, the wine classes, paella nights, and the tastings every week. If you are looking for a place to go for a drink before dinner, or just to hang out after a nice dinner, or simply to come and hangout and make new friends, I strongly recommend you check out Tinto!
