I had lunch here on a slow day. The crab Rangoon were tasty and well-filled. I also ordered the lunch special, which was miso soup and a choice of 2 rolls. It was $13-14. The fish tasted fresh. Based on my one experience, I rate the food delicious. I would add another star if I felt like I was at all welcomed. I felt rushed to order my food. Nobody seemed happy to be there. Maybe it was just a slow day and they were hoping for more business. I will return based upon the quality of the food.
Door in the meal I had to remind myself I was in St. Louis many miles from any ocean. The prices I considered high. The service was average. Atmosphere is a strip mall sushi restaurant. Do while I usually get chyrashi, I opted for spicy tuna roll and a special salmon roll this time cuz the chyrashi was pretty expensive. First thing I noticed the rolls weren't rolled too tight. Impossible to pick up with chopsticks as they would fall apart, marginally successful with my fingers, had to use a fork to eat them. All the components were, fish was acceptable, but nothing over the top.
We came here for dinner as hubby was craving for sushi (again). Since it was almost closing, we just ordered to-go. He was happy with his chirashi, though he much preferred sushi for 1 as he doesn't care much for rice. And sushi for 1 person isn't available on the menu. My beef bibimbap, on the other hand, was not something I expected. The rice was not sushi rice but small grain rice that needed more water to cook, and it wasn't cooked well through. The dish was also smothered in teriyaki-like sauce, which I know isn't bibimbap, that all i tasted was the sauce and less of the ingredients. We were led here by great reviews, but I don't know if we should give it a try again🤷♀️ Service was quick and ok, pricing reasonable. The place was quiant and lots of shared available parking.
The sushi here is amazing and so is there Korean food I highly recommend eating at this restaurant you will not be disappointed. This place is awesome and you must try the pink lady or volcano roll. They’re so good and the beef Bugatti Korean food is amazing.
Went to a Top Sushi and had some top sushi! Tiny little restaurant a little off of Page and I swear the guy was waiting on all the tables and making all the food himself. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at however don't let that fool you because the food was really good. They had a diverse yet small menu with sushi, Japanese dishes, Korean dishes and ramen. The rolls were very large and had a good balance between ingredients and sauces. We started with the spring rolls and debated between the ramen and the sushi and the sushi won. However I'd love to go back and taste the ramen. Prices were very reasonable! The two of us ate for around $20 each.
