Dolores is an absolute gem! Her passion for music and dedication to her students is unparalleled. She helped me expand my vocal range and taught me how to protect my voice during long rehearsals. Her teaching style is encouraging yet constructive, and she really customizes her approach for each student. Highly recommended!
My kids had a free first class in piano and guitar. Both were very nervous for their first ever music lesson; however, their instructors immediately made them feel welcome. The office staff were very courteous and helpful as well. We look forward to our next lesson!
A few weeks of unguided practice made it clear I needed formal instruction, but most of the teachers I could find focused entirely on a classical approach to the instrument. I decided to give Ben a call when I saw his background, which included both classical and contemporary styles. After a couple lessons it became clear that one of Ben's great strengths is in his versatility; he's had me focus on Kreutzer arpeggios to develop technical skills, a big book of "essential" fiddle tunes to build repertoire/fiddle technique, and a few more challenging rags and waltzes to put it all together. We're just getting started on some jazz scales to develop basic improvisational skills.
I was apprehensive to enroll in music classes once more due to unfavorable past experiences. But TR Music & Voice Lessons went above and beyond! The instructors are smart, kind, and really interested in seeing their pupils succeed. Their facilities are tidy and friendly, and they provide a wide range of instruments and styles. After just a few weeks of drum instruction, I can already tell that I'm getting better!!
I was looking for music schools in the San Gabriel Valley for myself, and I came across this academy just located south of the Santa Anita mall, with ample parking and easy access. Annie and Carrie have excellent customer service and were very attentive to my scheduling needs. I was very happy with her piano instruction, as she was very professional, but also made it fun and comprehensible to my learning level.
