I started my weight loss journey at this location. As I approach my 1 year mark I wanted to share my experience. I mainly use TrueFit for their group fitness classes. I have the premium membership, which allows me to visit multiple locations...it's a plus, but I haven't had to bounce around because they had enough classes to fill up my schedule (that is up until recently) As of today, they no longer have evening Zumba or similar dance cardio type classes on Mondays and/or Tuesdays so I've had to re-adjust. The entire staff has been great and friendly but I especially want to highlight Stephanie, the Hip Hop Cardio instructor. She is absolutely AMAZING. Her classes are so much fun, high energy and feels like the time goes by so fast. She’s consistent, motivating, informative, and always makes time for stretching and recovery. She also creates an amazing atmosphere.... lights off for privacy, which makes it comfortable to really let loose.... the disco lights turn the class into a total vibe. I’ve even followed her to the new Lockhill location. Honestly, Stephanie's class is the main reason I haven't given up on TruFit. Overall, this gym has been a positive part of my fitness journey. I just wish there were more group fitness classes like hers at this location. Instructors like Stephanie truly make the difference.
Best gym ive ever been to. The atmosphere is amazing & friendly. The staff is incredibly helpful, ive sincerely and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Shout out to (Maddie) for giving me the grand tour. And accolades to (Andre) for providing me with very helpful information. Everyone here was able to make me feel welcome and right at home. Thank you Trufit staff. Keep up the good work. I wish I could give a 10 STAR Review
Daniel is a great personal trainer! Would definitely recommend, me and my teammates are seeing improvement in my volleyball skills after only a few sessions. (These pictures are all the medals I’ve won since coming to TruFit and working with Daniel for proof that it really works!!)
In pursuit of finding a good gym to commit to, I ran across TruFit Athletic Clubs - 410 & Bandera. They let me check it out with a free day pass and it was amazing. They've got a HUGE selection of equipment, great staff and some extra amenities that really brought it to the top of my potential gyms. Best part is they even have a mini gym area for kids which would be awesome when I have my daughter down here with me.
2320 Frontage Rd #77/83, Brownsville, TX 78521 (Sunrise Mall) This Gym Is a Complete Joke — Dirty, Disorganized, and Clearly No One Cares Let me save you the time and money: don’t bother joining this trainwreck of a gym. Walk in and you’re instantly hit with chaos — weights scattered everywhere, machines half-working (if that), and absolutely zero signs to let you know what’s broken. It’s like management just gave up. You’ll spend more time searching for equipment or trying to figure out what works than actually working out. And the staff? Useless. Completely disconnected from reality. They’re either hiding behind the desk or glued to their phones like it’s a damn social media convention. They’re not cleaning, not organizing, not checking on anything — basically just standing around while the place falls apart around them. If these employees are supposed to represent the gym, then the message is clear: this place is run on the cheapest labor possible with no standards, no training, and no accountability. You pay them minimum wage, give them zero leadership, and then act surprised when the gym looks like a landfill? That’s on you, management. The locker rooms? Gross. The gym floor? Hazardous. The vibe? Straight-up depressing. This isn’t a gym — it’s a mess with equipment in it. Unless ownership makes some serious changes — pay staff better, train them, enforce rules, CLEAN the damn place — this place will keep going downhill. Fast. Embarrassing facility. Embarrassing leadership. Don’t waste your time.
