Our first day in Sydney we decided to have breakfast here as it was close to our hotel. Young and friendly staff, delicious food (croissant, pancakes with Nutella, cappuccino and much more), and quick service. It was an easy choice to come back here for breakfast the next 3 days of our stay in Sydney. Their breakfast was amazing- generous portions and very fresh.
I came here for brekkie, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. To start, the piccolo was pretty weak—I almost couldn’t taste the coffee, just milk with a hint of caffeine. I also ordered a hash brown stack, and I’m not a fan of when the cooks skip steps in serving food. Deep-fried chorizo? Oh no! I’m not sure about you, but deep-frying chorizo isn’t my thing. It was so dry and unpleasant to eat! You can see my brekkie plate in the picture below. It seems like the cooks might be struggling to manage basic kitchen’s standard.
Nice local place for breakfast. Very popular because there are as a line when we arrived and for the full duration of our meal. Overall nothing special about this place just standard breakfast items. We liked it but wouldn’t wait in the 20min line again. Coffees were pretty good which was nice. I will say service was fast so that was a positive. We also really liked the little area so if living or staying near this is a good option for a simple breakfast and/or lunch. We went around 11am on a weekday and sat outside because inside was full.
Food was really nice. However, we didn’t get coffees we wanted. Surprisingly, we ordered flat whites, but as can be seen in the video, we couldn’t have flat coffee. Milk steam was okay but too frothy. If you consider visiting, you should order cappuccino or latte, but other than that, was all good. Food and the service really nice.
Honest review for first-timers in Sydney Went here because it was rated highly from numerous blogs/websites, as I was looking forward to have a sumptuous brunch before leaving the city Food I ordered was Eggs benedict with bacon (26.9 AUD), with extra smoked ham (5.50 AUD), and biscoff iced latte (9.9 AUD) — For a total of 42.3 AUD Price for quality of food was below average, I even saw they were using a loaf of bread from the market, wrapped in a plastic bag. I was hoping they make their own sourdough bread (with a hefty amount they charge). Don’t even bother ordering extra sides, as I ordered an extra for 5.50AUD just to find out it was only two pieces of smoked ham. It felt like it was too much. There was nothing special to be honest. Their biscoff latte was also quite expensive. The coffee itself doesn’t taste like it has a biscoff in it — just the topping with whip cream and some biscuits to make it “biscoff”. Service was great tho. Servers are very attentive to your needs. Place itself is clean and quite small, but not too crowded. There are some carts here and there, but it was neatly organized. Overall, will I recommend to others? Not really, would advise spending it rather somewhere else. Will I come back? No.
