The shop is absolutely amazing! Professional, clean, aesthetically pleasing and their barber Maddie is great! I have been seeing Maddie for years and she does a fantastic job. She listens, is a master of her craft, and a true professional. I will forever stay a client of Maddie and Ultimate Barber!
Brought my picky teen boys here for a haircut after the last person we were seeing for their haircuts moved shops across town. We saw Jose, and the boys were thrilled with their experience. Jose listened to what they were looking for and had them looking fresh and clean. He even managed to make their cowlicks actually blend in to their cuts. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!
TLDR:Ordered a the Ultimate Experience, got the Exceptional Experience. This was my first time coming there at an appointment at 10:20. The barber (Charlie) still had a client there in the chair, but finished shortly after in about 5 minutes, which is reasonable for the great service that I experienced and that person likely had too. I was going to work soon and wanted to start out fresh both with a good shave and haircut. He first confirmed the haircut I was getting (what to do with top? Still want that skin fade?), and proceeded to go through with the fade first. That went through pretty smoothly. Then he moved on to the shave (I forgot if he used a straight razor or normal razor, but I was not caught up on that). As we went through, he commented on the condition of the facial hair I had, mentioning the unusual thickness at my age, and what looked like the result of good aftercare. He provided further guidance about it too, and proceeded to use a towel activated aftershave, providing a caution about how many people might feel it sting for the first time as a result of the contrast and intensity of it. The towel was not just warm, it was hot, but not to the point you'd fear harm; rather; enough to activate the aftershave. And the way it was wrapped around the face; it took me a second to recognize how the towel was organized and stayed on my face. He did two towels, one treatment to ensure thorough, but also careful treatment. He shared the aftershave product name with me for later use, and provided guidance for it. I forgot if it was before or after, but he pulled out an double bladed electric razor to further smooth out those small hairs. I was still learning how to use an electric razor on the face, and he was able to provide some direction on that, and get this; you are supposed to use it when the hair is fine and small, not when it's grown out a bit. It's a work in progress but a better direction than I was before. He also provided the product name so I could get further in that path. Finally, I think we did the shampoo and condition last, and he provided further guidance on the use. I knew not to use shampoo too often, but conditioner; it seems it comes with practice. Outside of that, I mentioned how I practiced martial arts and was outside often, so he brought up that an antibacterial soap may be a good idea after those activities. I'm still integrating that into my schedule (antibacterial soap is pretty strong, trying to address that mostly), but again; better direction than before.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ultimate Barbershop is hands down one of the best barbershops around. The shop is always clean, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the prices are great. My barber, Kenny, who’s also the owner, has been cutting my hair immaculately every time. He’s a true professional and takes pride in his work. The barbers he selects to work here are also exceptional at their craft. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch service and a great overall experience.
Maddie was excellent for my first visit. She took time to hear my concerns as I was going she could correct a previous bad haircut. She listened and did a great job with the shape I was looking for. Plus she was professional and patient, easy to talk to and she had a great sense of style. I'll be making another appointment. Oh the shop is well taken care of and clean. Great management. My husband has been bringing our son for years.
