We've been taking our dog and cat to UVH for about 5 years now and highly recommend their services. We see Dr.Laura Fosbender and she is amazing with our pets. She is very kind, thorough, knowledgable and really cares for our animals. It's been wonderful to bring them here :)

I'm giving a one due to several things: It smelled horrible as soon as you walk in, it was very dirty, felt old and not inviting at all. As I waited and filled out ppwrk I kept thinking how I didn't want to be there and wasn't comfortable. I saw that another pet was taken back and the owner not allowed to go. Which pretty much made my final decision. Once the tech came out to get me. I asked if I can go back and she said no. She mentioned VEG and I had been familiar with VEG from my home town. So I left. Although I needed my furbaby to be seen. It was worth leaving and driving further away to a place that was clean and felt comfortable for both me and my baby. As a pet owner, I want to know what's going on with my baby. I at least thought we would be taken to a room but they make you wait in the lobby. So strange. I do not like the idea of a complete stranger just taking my furbaby and I can't see the interaction or know what type of personality the tech has. I did not feel comfortable with how this place runs.If you want to be with your furbaby during the whole process VEG is the place to go. A little pricey but worth it.

Despite being loyal customers who had seen my dog for a decade, they refused to see my dog until after she ultimately died of heart failure. I told them it was an emergency and they said "sorry just go to the dog ER, we are booked until Friday." My dog died today of critical heart failure. Sadly, University Vets did not conduct tests breathing tests in our previous appointment that could have allowed my dog to live longer with medications. University vet called after she died to say they could get her meds tomorrow... Be very careful when using these vets. If its an emergency and you want a loyal vet, Id recommend going elsewhere

Called ahead of time to verify what costs would be for what we needed. Was given misinformation. Once there doctor saw our pet, then we were handed a $500 estimate. Total bait and switch. Would never have brought our dog here had they been transparent and honest up front. Then the actual treatment itself was not on par with 3 other vets and left our pet vulnerable to more infection. Horrible place. Do not recommend.

I've been taking my 3 dogs here for over a year, and I can confidently say after trying so many other vets that Dr Schafer and her team are the absolute best. She's excellent at making sure the trip to the vet is a positive experience for the dogs every time by always offering them treats and cheese for each visit, as well as giving top tier medical advice. She's able to answer all the puppy questions I have about my two 4 month old pups as well as how they interact with my 6 year old dog. All of the vet techs and receptionists are amazingly warm, helpful and make my dogs get excited every time they visit.
