I had an awesome experience at Uptown Cheapskate in Peoria. I brought in a few bags of gently used clothes to sell, and the process was incredibly smooth. Unlike a lot of other UCs, they were fair, professional, and quick with their assessment. The real standout, though, is their men’s clothing selection. It’s usually a struggle to find good secondhand options for guys, but this location has a huge variety of high-quality brands, trendy styles, and pieces that look brand new. Whether you’re looking for athletic wear, button-downs, or everyday staples, they actually have inventory worth browsing. Clean store, friendly staff, and great deals. I’ll definitely be back to both sell and shop!
Went to this location this evening with a friend and had the ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE!!!! The staff including the owner were very nice, helpful, and friendly! The store is always well kept and organized even though it was $1 day. If your looking for the cutest clothes, shoes, or accessories… this store is a MUST!!
Horrible experience at this store today they had their one dollar everything stamped sale. I was very excited and waiting for this sale to come on due to the fact that I do take it to another country and donate it to the less fortunate. I do not resell it and I do not keep it for myself. the owner proceeds to walk up to me in a very, very rude tone and says you’re cut off. You can’t take anything else. You have two carts up there and that’s it we have a two bad policy, which was not true because it was not stated there was a limit on every single post promoting the sale. This is not the first time that I see this owner treat people in a rude way. These are all individually owned franchises that still have to be up to par with policies. I will never be coming back here as a store owner yes you do have to look out for your other clients shopping individually for themselves however, there was way plenty of stuff left that was stamped for a dollar that was available for all the rest of the clients. I didn’t take anything. I just bought some boots and left at least I made their job easier on hanging all of the stamped items.
This store has great products, organized, clean and well run. The most outstanding customer support you will find. Sophie and Natalie went out of their way to assist us and were friendly, professional and kind. I cannot say enough good about this store and the people that manage and work there. Check it out if you are in the area, you will be glad you did.
Super cute store with lots to browse- shoes, accessories and of course all types of clothes. Tons of great name brands and good quality items. Selling process was easy and they paid a good price for items I brought in. Nice that store credit reimbursement is higher, it’s like expanding your closet with trade ins. Love how it is organized so you can actually see items. Ended up picking several cute items for a trip and I plan to go back and look through the athletic clothes more as well. Staff and owners were polite and helpful as well.
