I’ve been coming here for many years, usually spending a couple hundred dollars a month. Knowing it is typically more expensive than anywhere else, I appreciated the knowledge and the helpfulness. Unfortunately, the last few times the staff couldn’t even be bothered to get off their phones and even say hi, let alone make any recommendations. Want to charge more for wine? Fine. Want to even add a 3% wine credit card surcharge? Great, I don’t mind. However, the staff better provide some resemblance of customer service for the added fees and higher prices. This will be the last time I come in unless behavior changes. I expect better.
First class service from Jason and the team. Even from 1500 miles away in Canada, they were able to organize the delivery of very nice wine to friends staying in Milwaukee. 2 days before Christmas ⛄ Thank-you so much! Hope to visit in person one day 😀
As a patron of Waterford on Farwell, I write to you as a community member who values them in more than one capacity. As a customer of their wonderful establishment, I've enjoyed many a tasting, curated by the wonderful group of knowledgeable folks on staff. I also on occasion can be seen walking out with 2-4 bottles (the Georgian Orgo is my current vibe). As a nonprofit leader, it brings me joy to write about their commitment to philanthropy, as they have participated in our organization's annual fundraiser. We are blessed to have a Waterford experience part of our November evening event. For all looking to involve themselves with a wine shop that is nothing short of exquisite, look no further than Waterford.
I had a great time attending one of Waterford’s many wine class offerings “popping bottles” learning how to choose wine off a dinner menu! I found it to be very educational and there was no doubt the teacher knew his stuff. I would definitely recommend and attend one again!
Waterford has to have the largest collection of wines in town, and to top it off they know their stuff and offer fun events hosted by expert wine enthusiasts. We learned (and tasted) a lot at the recent “learn how to navigate a wine menu” seminar and got some great deals on wine after. Look forward to going back to visit their new wine bar in the back!
