I took the boat tour with Waterton Shoreline Cruise and it was a smooth experience. The boat departed on time and the staff provided clear instructions. There was enough space for everyone. The route offered great views of the lake and surrounding mountains, which made for good photo opportunities. Very impressive experience, educational on geology, history, and the lake. Nate was a great tour guide. Booking is in person only. Cool experience to cross the border and receive a passport stamp in Montana. Stunning views you can’t get anywhere else. Highly recommend if you are in Waterton.

Yes, the price is not cheap, but the 2 hours 15 minutes boat ride was worth every penny. You get to visit the US soil without needing a passport, very interesting. If you in Waterton Park, this is the main attraction that you should try to get to. The boat is almost 100 years old, and it is very nice boat. The staff is awesome, especially captain Kevin (aka captain Steve). Super funny and very informative. One note worthy incident, was that somebody dropped a water bottle into the water when the boat was docked, and Nate when down into the water to fetch the water bottle for the gentleman. It's a very Canadian courtesy from the staff. Please don't forget to tip the staff. 95% of the people did not, but I think they deserve a tip for the services.

We went on the one hour boat tour at 2pm on a weekday. It was still very full and people started lining up early (we got there 30 min early and lots of people already there), so if you want a good spot, be prepared to wait under the sun for a while. There are no washrooms on board, so you need to plan ahead and use the washroom at the harbour before boarding. There is also no water, so bring your own water bottles. It is very sunny and hot if you choose to sit on the top of the boat, but once the boat gets moving there is a really nice breeze. We didn't get to see any animals during our cruise, but it's still cool to go into America, and see the board. It's a nice and relaxing way to see the mountains and the lake. You can also get a good photo opportunity with the Prince of Wales Hotel on the lake.

Did the full 2 hour tour, it was a bit chilly and overcast that morning but decided to go anyways. Due to the weather the tour only had probably 20 people - it was nice as you could sit anywhere. It did clear up quite nicely and ended up being a great day. The views were great and the stop in the US turned out to be quite eventful as a handful of the passengers saw a bear coming down the trail (we were not the fortunate ones). The staff were great and very informative. Definitely recommend.
