During our day trip to Chicago, we opted for the 90-minute architecture tour on the Chicago River. Our guide, John, was very entertaining and shared many interesting details about the various buildings and architectural styles in the city center during the boat ride. We learned a lot and enjoyed the beauty of downtown Chicago from the water. We especially appreciated that the engaging tour not only covered the central area of the Loop but also went downstream to older buildings (as far as Ping Tom Park) and showed us the site of the Great Fire of Chicago. Since we were in Chicago in October and it was a bit rainy, we were able to warm up at the indoor bar and enjoyed a hot drink at a reasonable price. Many thanks to John and the entire team for this impressive tour!

It was a wonderful experience. The tour guide was really nice. We took the boat at 4pm 2 Jan. The guide was a very nice lady - a maths teacher. She explained everything well in detail. Recommended

TL;DR: A decent and reasonably priced tour. Highly recommend going in the evening when the city lights make everything look stunning. I probably wouldn’t do it again, but it’s definitely worth it if you haven’t experienced it before. I took the Chicago Architecture Tour during my short one-night stay in the city. It seemed like a great way to get a quick yet informative overview of Chicago—and it was. As the name suggests, the tour focuses almost entirely on the city’s architectural history, which the guide covered in good detail throughout. The ride lasted a little over 90 minutes and started right in the heart of downtown. We cruised up the river, passing plenty of iconic buildings and landmarks. The guide was knowledgeable, and the boat itself was comfortable—not too crowded. It also had nice amenities: clean restrooms, a bar, and a small snack counter, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – A Must-Do in Chicago! I took the Wendella Architecture Boat Tour and it was one of the highlights of my trip! The views of Chicago’s skyline from the water were absolutely stunning, and our guide brought the city’s history to life with fun stories and interesting facts. The boat itself was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space to move around and a bar for drinks. I recommend getting there early so you can snag a good seat on the upper deck—nothing beats that open-air view. The ride was smooth, and I loved how the pace let you really soak in the architecture without feeling rushed. If you’re in Chicago, this is the perfect mix of relaxation, sightseeing, and learning something new. Definitely worth it!
