Since their opening in November, I have had 3 occasions to visit White Cross Vets In Stanningley and each time have been very impressed by their professionalism and standards of care. Everyone I came into contact with was kind and supportive and did everything possible to try to help our visit less stressful when Oscar my dog was rushed in and was found to need emergency surgery for Bloat, (GDV). Special mention goes to vets Rebecca and Francisco who acted calmly and swiftly, assisted by one of their nurses (sorry I don’t have her name but she was there on the opening day) The clinic itself is lovely and new with state of the art equipment and I would definitely recommend them.

Check the reviews on trust pilot if you don’t believe me but anyway If I could leave no star I would I don’t remember the vet that saw my cat at the time but I know it was a male Caucasian mature man and a oriental woman who was wearing a face mask… who looked rather suspicious as she injected my cat with something also but not while I was in the room but while I was in reception area near main entrance…. Anyway I never came back after this totally put me off vets and lost my confidence and trust. The vets that made my whole family feel like this was in kings heath called white cross vets and here is the reason why …firstly the kings heath vets genuine caring staff left and moved on else where and after my cat got multiple seizures after them injecting her with medicine which shouldn’t be given to cats with liver disease or so… anyway after she had been given that injection which was literally poison to her small frail body she had aggressive seizures which left her practically exhausted and paralysed that she couldn’t even eat or drink let alone pass urine or so and I gave her water which you could tell she was in need of desperately and was so thirsty … she had so many seizures that whole evening like every few minutes to every 20-30 mins! It was so heartbreaking to watch and that I couldn’t do anything to help her and that I was short on cash to get an emergency vet to come to my house at be out of hours too… I borrowed all the money I could but it still wasn’t enough… it was traumatising to witness it got so aggressive that her claw got hooked to her tongue … and the next morning I called the vet’s ( white cross vets) and told them everything that happened to my poor kitty mishka and they made me feel that it wasn’t them to blame when in fact it was as I did the research on the medicine they injected her with and it clearly said not to give to cats with liver issues which she had… i told them that since she had that injection she’s had a reaction and then they told me to bring her in and put her down… i had sadly no choice but to do that but if they had just not injected her with that medication that wasn’t suitable for her then my best friend would be with me here today … I didn’t want her to suffer anymore due to their mistake and I didn’t want to get In trouble if I didn’t take their advice… anyway while she was waiting to be put down they didn’t even make her comfortable or giver her water to hydrate or or put eye drops in her eyes… none of that … but just quickly rushed me to put her down as they were on schedule and I didn’t get to say goodbye properly ….

I come in with my reactive rescue dog who is quite weary/anxious a fair bit to do socialisation appointments with the AMAZING Brogan. They have a closed off corner for anxious dogs, which is perfect as an owner to a dog who is dog reactive. Receptionists are always very understanding with her when she gets a bit stressed or reactive which makes us feel more comfortable. Brogan has helped Roxy overcome a fair bit of anxiety about the vets and Roxy absolutely adores her, we have ALWAYS felt comfortable as she sees Roxy for the sweetheart she is despite her size and that she wears a muzzle which is always lovely due to some people are scared of Roxy for that. She is an absolute honour to the team!🖤

My precious little finch named Pearl had quite a severe issue with her foot So I tried to take her to my normal vets that have on site avian vet but they were closed on the weekend. I called around everywhere then tried White Cross Vets where I was able to make an emergency appointment for her to see the vet who has personal experience with finch. The level of care that was shown to my sweet little girlie was amazing and ever so heartwarming, she has been prescribed with medication and even just a few days later she's looking better, her foot is healing and it's going the exact way the vet had said it would go. I got some really informative advice which I'll be passing on to everyone I can, I cannot express enough just how grateful I am for the staff and reception because most people would just see a little bird no bigger than a common sparrow and just let whatever happens, happen but my finch are very very dear to me. Pearl and I are very grateful for the staff at White Cross Vets, keep being awesome 🐦⬛❤️
