My 13-year-old son has been attending weekly cooking classes at Young Chefs Academy for almost a year now, and it has quickly become the highlight of both his week and mine. Chef Kelly and the entire cooking team at The Woodlands location are warm, welcoming, and skilled at modifying classes to appeal to both younger and older students. The location is spotless, and the classes are well managed, introducing new skills and recipes to keep things interesting. They even offer optional competitions for kids who want to push their talents further. This is the first extracurricular activity my son has not lost interest in or wanted to quit, and I could not be more thrilled. He has always expressed an interest in cooking, and attending Young Chefs has added fuel to his motivation—so much so that he is now competent at making meals for our family at home with little to no supervision, and he’s even met a few new friends along the way. What a win!
Chef Chris was an amazing host for our daughters 10th birthday party. He is so friendly and polite, great with the kids, very patient and helpful. The facility is extremely clean and there are nice sitting areas for the parents when you aren't in the kitchen. If your child is looking for an awesome and unique experience, this is worth it!
My daughter has been with Young Chef’s Academy for almost a year, and honestly, she’s starting to out-cook me. She’s already earned 2 cooking patches (do they make one for “mom doesn’t have to make dinner tonight”?). She LOVES the diverse culinary challenges—they’ve got her whipping up things way fancier than mac & cheese—and the instructors are absolute rockstars. Organized, patient, and somehow brave enough to handle a room full of kids and flour at the same time. We also hosted her birthday party here and it was a major hit! Totally unique compared to the same old trampoline/arcade party scene. The kids left full, happy, and covered in just the right amount of frosting. If you’re looking for a place where your kid can learn real life skills, have a blast, and maybe even make you dinner one night—this is it.
My daughter always has an amazing experience here. She was in weekly classes for a year, but her school schedule has gotten so hectic, that she doesn't have time to go every week. This is her second year doing summer camp and she loves making new friends. Chef Kelly is awesome!
My 9 year old daughter attended the culinary camp and loved it so much. They treated her really special for her birthday. The teachers are great with kids and know how to make everyone have a great experience while staying on schedule. They have a large window where parents can watch the kids. This is a unique experience for kids and so fun!
