I recently had a home energy audit done by Earl from Zenner & Ritter, and I couldn't be more impressed! Earl was incredibly knowledgeable, walking me through every step of the process and explaining where my home was losing energy in a way that was easy to understand. He was thorough, professional, and genuinely helpful—answering all my questions and providing practical recommendations to improve efficiency and comfort. If you're considering an energy audit (especially through a program like NYSERDA), I highly recommend requesting Earl. He made the whole experience stress-free and valuable. Alex was quick to respond to my emergency call, my furnace stopped working. Alex was friendly and professional. He was able to diagnose the problem and recommend next steps for repair. I was impressed with his knowledge and he recommended the annual maintenance program which I took advantage of. Highly recommend Zenner & Ritter and hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Alex as your technician.

I was led to Zenner and Ritter as my 3rd quote. I found them by using their online quoting, on Facebook, which did give me a quote, but it wasn't accurate. I was followed up with Jimmy, who came out and assessed our system. He was very open to questions and making it a great experience. Zenner and Ritter was also The lowest quote using comparable equipment and brand recognition. The quote was a bit off when I called to ask some more questions, but the price was basically the same after it went up and down with the adjustments. The technician showed up in the morning after the appointment was booked. Overall it was a great experience, however the unit arrived damaged and it wasn't replaced until I pointed out the damage and that I wasn't comfortable with it. I called the office and they had another unit to replace it with, so the technician left to get another unit for me. I would have like the technician to proactively point out the damage, but ultimately it was addressed and I was satisfied.

I scheduled an HVAC maintenance check and tune-up. The invoice said “surface cleaning of outdoor condenser coils” was included, but it’s clear the tech never even took off the grates. You can tell that’s old dust/pollen based on the color of it. So I basically paid $200 for them to change my air filter using one I already had and tell me everything looked fine. Now they won’t stop blowing up my phone with sales calls and texts. Definitely won’t be using them again. EDIT: 10/14/2025. This company uses fake reviews. Look at the flood of 5 star reviews that came in almost immediately after I posted this. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

Great friendly crew. Cordial. Explained everything well and addressed my own mechanical curiosity without seeming annoyed. Looks great. They tested everything and helped my husband set up the phone app. This is how a business should be ran!
