Catoctin Mountain has multiple traditional camping options for various group sizes.
For those looking for the genuine camping experience, Catoctin Mountain has the Owens Creek campground as well as the Poplar Grove Campground which is open to adult-supervised, organized youth groups whose members are under age 18. The park also has 2 wilderness shelters which are also reservation-only. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance. Check availability and make your reservation at recreation.gov. or call 1-877-444-6777.
