Lake Wood is a secluded pond with a small beach area, just a short drive away from Hulls Cove Visitor Center. There are no lifeguards and access road does not open until June 1.

Lake Wood is not accessible. There is a short trail (.1 mi) connecting the small beach to the parking area. The trail has uneven footing and roots across it in areas. There are also no accessible restrooms at Lake Wood.
