I think they don't read these reviews, and base responses only on how many stars there are. I was looking at one in which a member said they'd had to cancel their ab workout bc the ab machine has been broken for years -- but they still gave the gym 4 stars. The response from 24 hour fitness was to say thanks for the feedback, and "it's wonderful to hear you had a great experience." ...?! I like this gym because it's conveniently located, there's a lot of equipment, and there's a pool. (I was going to try the sauna, but now don't much want to after what I've read and seen in these reviews.) Also, the staff have been friendly. I wonder if the chain just isn't giving this location enough resources to keep it clean, and to keep the equipment in good shape. It's disappointing that the pad on one of the arm machines literally has holes in it; and the support bars on the leg curl machine have been crooked for months, feeling like an invitation to injury. I hope the parent company adds resources to make it the really great gym it could be.
Incredible five star staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been having 24 hour fitness for 17 years ✨ Over time they truly have evolved! Going into 2026 I met some new staff at this location who were incredible! David, Imari, and Nylah! 🥰 David went above and beyond at the front desk to assist me with switching my mom’s account to silver sneakers (prime) and explained it step by step. I appreciated him telling me the hours that he worked just in case there were any issues! He also contacted the manager whose card is attached to ensure our issue was resolved with billing. 👏🏾 Imari is newer to the team but learned his role so quickly and you can tell! So coachable, with a smile and checked in others as David assisted us. He also began convos with other customers and clients and you can tell that made his day! ☺️😅 Nylah is very thorough and listens to understand the customer/ client. I had issues the following day because the wrong card number was issued out and she quickly resolved the problem with a smile. She knows a lot about the POS and the process at 24 hour fitness to also be new! She works nights and truly holds it down 🥹🙌🏾
Absolutely disgusting, dirty, broken, unsanitary, and extremely careless. There is SEWAGE in the sauna and the employees don't give a damn. Downtown Long Beach 1 World Trade Center
I know that the gym is lacking maybe they need to hire an additional housekeeper but I come here to seriously work out and I love the fact that the equipment is heavy and that the members wipe down after use. Also the average age here is 23 yrs the youth are full of energy very inspiring for an older member like me and the staff leave us alone to be the best that we can be. The kids here are very respectful they treat me with respect on occasion I might ask to share a machine and I have always been met with politeness. The most impolite members are the grumpy old men who complain about everything especially kids staying on their phones while sitting on machine. I understand the gen z I simply ask them to share they are responsive very polite never combative. They address me as Mam and I feel honored. If you're generation X or baby boomer then it's best to go to planet fitness where the staff oppresses your vibe and micromanage. I prefer trade a slacker environment for freedom to wear what I want and move about freely. I have my own sanitizer own towel so if something is not too kosher I address it. My workouts here are highly successful because I'm left uninterrupted. The kids here have the best bodies and they proudly flaunt them very encouraging for an old gal like me keeps me competive
Hello, I reported the condition of the men’s restroom yesterday, but unfortunately, nothing has been done to address it. As of today, the facilities are still in unacceptable condition (photos attached). This is not only unsanitary but also reflects poorly on the club’s upkeep and care for members. A clean and properly maintained restroom should be a basic standard. Please have this resolved immediately and ensure regular cleaning checks are in place so this doesn’t continue to happen. Update: Today, 9/4/2025, nothing has been done regarding the issue I reported. It still looks the same. Please see the attached photos taken today for reference. I asked for the GM, but your front desk staff appear to be shielding him/her. I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed directly, as it has now been several days without action. DO SOMETHING!
