24th is an iconic spot in Bakersfield. It serves delicious traditional americana breakfast as well as some delicious lunch items and unique, fluctuating specials. Their 50's diner decor give a blast to the past dining feel. Their friendly, attentive staff, and welcoming family environment is what keeps people coming back! Be aware, because of how good it is there might be a wait, but it is so worth it.
Friendliest place in Bakersfield! They have customers walking in and being greeted like I'm in an episode of cheers at 6:30AM it's so incredibly pleasant ! It's a bit pricier than the chain cafes but the atmosphere makes it worth it. Their menu is also more diverse than most places with breakfast menus and boy can that cook make a steak 🤤 Shout out to the wait staff who were SO kind! Unbelievably kind people for how early it is and the fact that this is southern California it's like I found a rural cafe hiding in the city and it's so nice 💕
This place has delicious food. Famous chef Guy Fieri has been here on show Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. Aka Triple D.
The pastrami sandwich has a slight smokey flavor, but not overpowering. Comes with an au jus! Garlic fries are amazing 🤩 Excellent item on the menu.
We stopped at 24th Street Cafe on our drive back from Las Vegas to San Francisco based on a Google recommendation. There’s limited seating inside, but there’s an air-conditioned terrace which is a real bonus. The classic diner look and feel delivers on that nostalgic charm, and it’s clear this spot has a devoted local following. The menu is extensive, with lots of the diner staples, but also a number of specials. Our food was delicious, well-prepared, and arrived quickly. Which is exactly what you need when you’re on the move. If you’re passing through Bakersfield, don’t miss this hidden gem. We’ll definitely make it a regular stop on our travels!
