Most of the staff is super nice and friendly except the guy behind the counter who is consistently rude and condescending. I've been here multiple times and it's not like he had a bad day, this same guy is always extremely uplesant and makes it so so uncomfortable to just check out. I'm not even asking questions and he is making extra loud sighs, complaining, and making rude comments to me. Literally every time I go in. Seeing that there are other reviews saying the same thing, it's clearly not just me.
Plants are fine and the location is convenient. Customer Service improvement is needed. The employee to customer ratio was 5:1 and not one employee offered help finding plants or even asking if help was needed. I spent $80 and no one even said thank you. Not saying thank you after dropping a considerable amount of money has been my ongoing experience here the past few years. One person did help take plant to vehicle, so that’s appreciated.
I've been a loyal customer at A&P Nursery for years. Their staff is always knowledgeable and friendly, offering expert advice on everything from desert trees and flowering shrubs to lawn care and pest control. They helped me solve a grass insect problem and recommended the right treatment. My latest landscaping project was a butterfly garden—picked up milkweed and fairy duster, and they’re thriving! A&P Nursery is my go-to garden center in the East Valley for healthy plants, Arizona-friendly landscaping, and top-notch service.
We’ve shopped here several times and this nursery has quality plants and trees which keep me coming back. Staff have been great and helpful making shopping much more simpler. If you’re looking for quality plants/trees at affordable prices, this is the nursery you want to be at!
Cute neighborhood nursery. On the smaller side, really just designed to serve the Dobson Ranch area of Mesa. This nursery is one of the few I have found over the years that you can consistently find small pots of lantana for those tight spaces! 🌼 (Most other nurseries sell 5gal pots as their smallest size, which sometimes for me is too big.) Staff is very friendly and helpful.
