I wanted to surprise my wife with private dance lessons for our anniversary. After doing some research of several dance studios, I decided to reach out to Angel. She responded immediately and was super excited about the surprise I was planning. She was super accommodating and went above and beyond to help plan a perfect surprise! I could tell Angel loved dancing even before we met in person. When we arrived at the studio, she played our special song as we walked in and we started slow dancing. Then she came in, introduced herself and we started our very fun salsa dance class. My wife was beyond surprised and was blown away at the experience. Angel made it extra special with her fun and energetic attitude. At no time did we feel like newbies. She instilled confidence and was cheering us as we earned. Angel is amazing and I highly recommend Adelante dance studio!!! 🕺🏽💃🏽🤩
Angel is a great teacher. Very welcoming environment and wonderful classes for my family. Craig also makes a delicious salsa also but don't tell him I told you.
My fiancé and I were looking for someplace to get dance lessons for our wedding; we found ADELANTE dance studio on “The Knot’s” website. I reached out and communicated with Angel several times, we scheduled a phone call to discuss lessons. On the phone call, we talked about our dance vision for the wedding, she asked about body limitations; did we have a bad back or knees, discussed number of lessons & the cost. I knew immediately I was going to love her and I was right. We decided on 4 lessons. At our first dance lesson we did a bunch of lifts and started to learn dance steps. Angel not only explained the steps & the lifts, but also demonstrated the moves with us. She led and followed so my fiance and I could feel the steps and the rhythm. At the end of the lesson, she said if we have any questions we could text her. The next few lessons we worked on steps and lifts to create a dance routine. Angel wanted us to have the perfect wedding dance so anything we were uncomfortable with or didn’t like she had us tell her and she would adjust. She was so amazing to work with, we laughed and had so much fun during our lessons. Angel wanted us to be able practice our dance routine to our wedding mix. We talked to our DJ and he asked if we could get him a copy from our choreographer. We talked to Angel about it and she doesn’t have the equipment to do this so she reached out to a friend to get the song mix. At our 4th lesson (4th lesson is 2 30 min lessons) we were able to practice the whole dance routine to our wedding mix; she went above and beyond for us. A few of our sessions went over in time and she didn’t charge us for it. Angel also recorded our dancing so we could see what we did correctly and what we needed to work on. I asked her if she could provide narration to a few recordings so we could hear the count or the steps coming up. This was extremely helpful when we practiced at home. Angel is so amazing, she gives helpful tips for dancing in your wedding dress & shoes, she suggested buying wedding dress pins if the train is still too long. She gives tips for feet movement in your shoes, how to land on your feet from a lift, how to turn correctly, how to hold your hands and your arms. We loved working with her. She was not only instructive, but she was hands-on. She was able to modify our dance for Paul at a moments notice. We laughed and we had the best time at our dance lessons. She was very welcoming, funny, and easy to learn from. The day of our wedding, we knew the dance well, had the whole routine down. We heard the crowd cheer and laugh during our dance. We had a great time dancing at our wedding. Angel made our wedding dance memorable.
Working with Angel was amazing! We met with her biweekly for two months. She was endlessly encouraging, the choreography was phenomenal, and she gave really detailed feedback. She was flexible with scheduling and great with communication! My husband and I plan on continuing with dance lessons at Adelante Dance Studio since we enjoyed it so much!
Attending the Cumbia workshop was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in years! It's a memory I'll cherish, and I'm already looking forward to the next one. I plan to try the salsa classes soon as well. I can't recommend this place highly enough! The atmosphere is incredibly fun and welcoming, and the teacher is warm and engaging. I learned a lot and made some wonderful friends in the process. It was truly an experience of a lifetime. Thank you so much! See you soon!
