What a great bakery and café! We had a Cuban sandwich and a breakfast sandwich. We also took home some cookies, bread, and pastries. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, sweets and cakes. Update: We went back and tried more things! The turkey club is outstanding! And do yourself a favor and try out the Yoyo cookies. They are ridiculously delicious.
Alessi Bakery is hands down one of the best spots in Tampa. The hot sandwiches are unreal — fresh, flavorful, and made with care. It’s not just a bakery either, it’s a full-on café with every dessert, pastry, and cookie you can think of. The staff has that true family vibe — friendly, welcoming, and always trying to accommodate you. You can really taste the love and tradition in everything they make. A Tampa classic that never disappoints.
Quite and array of pastries, some huge sandwiches that look tasty, Sicilian pizza, coffee, tee, bread...many offerings at this bakery celebrating 113 years in existence. Moving into a new building soon too.
I’ve been coming to Alessi Bakery for ten years, ever since I first moved to Tampa, and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich on Cuban bread is still my favorite. Pressed to perfection, it’s everything I love about this city in one bite. Orlando makes the best sandwiches, and the entire staff is always wonderful. Honestly, it’s hard to walk out of here without grabbing a few pastries on the way — this place just feels like Tampa, Florida.
One of my favorite treats & everyone is always so nice! It is hard to choose, but if I had to pick favorites, I’d go with the coconut cannoli (Nutella great too!), cinnamon & raspberry rugelash and the cake pops!
