Yelly is the absolute best. Couldn’t figure out why a jacket for my wedding wasn’t sitting right and he immediately saw that it was the button placement and he fixed it in 5 minutes and it’s perfect. Best tailor I’ve been to.
Great experience, fast efficient. The location is clean and welcoming. The staff including the seamstress were kind and respectful.
Mika did a great job on my wedding dress even though it was considered a “rush order”. The entire top needed to be taken off and it was complex due to the boning. Not a problem for Mika! Only took 1 check in before I could go back and pick it up. It was perfect and fit like a glove. I would recommend bringing your dress earlier than 3 months from the wedding date (if possible) to avoid the rush charge. (Pictures show before and after alterations)
Alts UWS is the best and most reliable place for your bridal tailoring needs. I have given such intricate Indian embroidery gowns and saree blouses and I know when I hand off my fabrics that they are in good hands. Zade also goes above and beyond to reccomend the right silhouettes. And all garments I have received back has been beautifully altered, the work is top notch. I also brought my saree blouse and second white dress last minute and they seamlessly executed intricate alterations in 2 days. Overall amazing experience.
So thankful for my experience with Mika at Alts UWS with my wedding dress alterations! She was fantastic in talking me through the process, timing, and alteration decisions, and made it easy to fit perfectly to my wedding and travel schedule. She transformed my dress from way too big and long and wide into the perfect comfortable fit both on top and in the skirt, managing the challenges of the fabric I had, horse hair layers under the skirt, and adding a French bustle that was easy for my bridesmaids to learn and do day-of. I wore my dress all day and only changed at the very end of the night, it was that comfortable! Thank you again xx (added one before photo, then after alts)
