This gym felt like a home away from home for our family of daily gym rats! Serious lifters, hard work atmosphere, and the widest array of machines we have ever seen. American Iron Gym will be our go to anytime we are in Reno from here forward!
One of the best if not the best gym in America. Never been to a place that can tailor to multiple facets of fitness (powerlifting, strongman, gymnastics, bodybuilding, etc.). Every time I come to Reno I make sure to stop by this gem of a place. Friendly staff, great gym culture, and the best equipment. What more can you ask for other than this place being everywhere. Pictured is just one room of many that they have.
It's been a year since I moved across the country for school, and I miss American Iron every time I walk into a different gym. No other facility compares, no other gym community compares to what they have built there. If you have the ability to make American Iron your training gym, do it. You will not regret it. The people that go there are nice, and a community has grown around the desire to progress and improve. Everyone is so supportive of each other and their accomplishments. The trainers are wonderful, and are always willing to talk if you have a question. I've never been to a gym where the personal trainers are willing to give advice to people who were not paying for lessons, except here at Iron. They gave me a shirt before I moved, and I wear it as my pump cover every gym session. The owners are also sweet, and you can tell they care about the facility. Truly a wonderful place.
One of the few true old-school weight lifting gyms left. There are no influencers walking around with selfie sticks or people sitting on a single machine for hours spending more time on their phone than using the machine. There's plenty of equipment and it's always clean and in working condition. It's my favorite gym in Reno hands down.
all photos are with me in it because i took them from my IG page to make this post😬this was my first gym in reno and i loved it! i like how big the space is with its many rooms. a whole section for legs, powerlifting and two main areas. i didn’t go during peak hours and with that, i’m glad to never have waited for any equipment. the vibe always felt good to me, feels good when we’re all minding our business, getting gains together independently. i appreciated all options for cardio. only non aesthetic part were the locker rooms. if that had love put to it, it would make being in there more welcoming and energetic! all staff were wonderful to associate with. lost my shoes there and received it when i came back 4 days later. also points for no contracts. absolutely loved that as i’m from canada🌟 wishing y’all success!
