It's a family owned store run just like a corporate one. Options are massive (except large beer case variety) and if they don't have something on the shelf, staff will go try to find whatever you need. Sales are awesome. They do tastings and merch giveaways. You can join their loyalty program for future credit toward purchase. The staff is friendly and engaged. They answer the phone (rare nowadays) and cheerfully answer questions. Even their bags of ice are massive yet priced below others. If I could give more stars, I would!
Where to start. I went in looking for a bottle for my son. The first person kept trying to push me to buy "store picks". I let him know that wasn't what I was looking for. He proceeded to roll his eyes and walk off. Where I will give them credit is that a second employee came over and asked if I needed help. I asked if they had an allocation area, then he went on about the store picks again. Told him I wasn't interested, and he commented "oh, you're one of them." and then he walked off too. Seems like I should have read reviews here and on other social media, they just want to move their store bottles Needless to say I took my business elsewhere.
Would not recommend. Events are catering to members only with everyone else being second class. Used to love the fair way Argonaut did their events like Whiskey wheel, but now you have to be a member for the best shot. That coupled with their higher prices and unsafe location in Denver, make this a no go for me. Rather shop the competition which usually have much better prices and even better selections.
We used Argonaut as our alcohol provider and delivery for our wedding day, and they were absolutely amazing to work with! Cami helped us craft the perfect order for our amount of guests, and found us the best sales and deals! She even put aside Fall-themed beers for our wedding ahead of time, before they ran out. They delivered to our wedding venue in the mountains seamlessly and refunded us for everything we didn’t use. Thank you so much Argonaut!!!
Excellent experience here at Argonaut! Huge selection and friendly folks. Prices were very competitive. I spoke with both Chris and a nicely bearded gentleman… Ryan I believe, about bourbon. Both awesome guys! I left with a heavy box and I was very pleased. I visit from Michigan from time to time for work and I’ll be sure to swing by again on my next trip. I’ll have to bring a bigger suitcase!
