We love our local Inner Sunset Arizmendi Bakery...not just because it is worker owned, but also for the delicious baked goods and warm friendly atmosphere. Howard and the rest of the baker/owners are super kind and are baking up some incredible daily and holiday treats! Try the ridiculous pear + cherry seasonal scone of the day or the Triple Mushroom Sour Dough Pizza with sesame, ginger garlic vinaigrette. They serve TWO King Cakes for the Epiphany. Galette des Rois, a puff pastry filled with a rich almond filling AND Rosca de Reyes, a brioche dough with a hint of orange filled with a sweet molasses and pecan filling, decorated cream cheese topping and dried fruit......5 Stars is truly not enough -JD
An absolute must-stop if you’re anywhere near Inner Sunset. Also totally worth it if you have go an hour out of your way. Sourdough croissants! Brilliant. Flawless scones that are delightful crunchy and melt-away all at once. Memorable savory breadsticks and focaccia, perfect coffee-cake, cookies and exceptional bread loaves with daily changing variations that are, literally, all listed on a monthly calendar on the website. Enjoy.
Line out the door, very busy, and for a good reason! Absolutely delicious everything! Fresh out of the oven, and selling like the hot commodities they literally were. 10/10 would go again and every day if I lived close enough!
my new fav bakery! i love how many options they have without egg!!!! the scones were absolutely perfect, not too sweet and buttery. the handheld focaccias and breads were really good as well!! the only thing i wish they had done better was offer small sides of cheese, butter, or some topping for the items so we wouldn’t have to purchase a large jar of cream cheese for one small pastry. other than that, i love this place!!!
We got the pumpkin muffins, the sourdough croissant, a pecan roll and a daily special pizza. The muffin was the only thing that was worth the wait in line. It was soft and sweet with little bits of sugar on top. The croissant had that bad sour chemical taste. The pecan roll had raises in it which threw off the taste and texture of what would have been a very tasty roll. The pizza was better than Costco but not more than double the price good.
