This is a fantastic place to learn to dance! The staff is very professional and makes learning fun, even though we knew nothing walking in! The staff works well together and each one is kind and helpful. Our primary teacher is Tressa, whom we love, but we also enjoy everyone else! We are very happy with our progress and strongly recommend them to anyone who wants to get on the dance floor with confidence!
I can’t say enough good things about Arthur Murray Downtown Raleigh. The instructors—Allen, Cameron, Dalton, Eva, Jared, and Tressa—are incredibly talented and make every lesson both fun and productive. Paul, the owner, has built a studio that’s welcoming, professional, and supportive, and it shows in the energy of every class. I had danced salsa and bachata at other studios before, but since coming here my confidence on the dance floor has gone to another level. I now feel comfortable dancing socially in clubs with dancers of all levels, and I’ve also been able to perform different styles and solos confidently at showcases. This studio has truly elevated my dancing, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to grow in both skill and confidence at any level.
Arthur Murray Downtown Raleigh is THE place to be for ballroom dance lessons. All of the instructors are SO supportive and know how to push their students in the best way. The owner, Paul, is such a sweet and nice guy and provides so many opportunities for us. Between bringing in coaches and putting on events, there is a spot for every kind of dancer. I have never left the building in a sour mood, always with the biggest grin on my face as the environment is too fun! Instructors and fellow peers alike are beyond supportive of one another and it never feels like a competition when combining students of all levels at a party. Everyone just wants to dance and have a great night!
My husband and I are empty nesters now and have thought about taking up ballroom for years. We are so glad we took the leap! We are having so much fun and learning so much! The entire staff is welcoming, engaging, and encouraging. Our instructors (Cam, Tressa, Eva, and of course Paul) are all not only incredible dancers, but amazing teachers as well. AND the other students make the group classes loads of fun. If you’re on the fence, I can say with confidence, you should definitely check out this studio.
We had such a great experience working with Cameron for our first wedding dance! From the very first lesson, he made us feel comfortable and confident, even though we had zero dance experience. His teaching style is fun, relaxed, and incredibly encouraging—every session was something we looked forward to. Cameron broke things down in a way that was easy to follow, and by the end, we felt ready and excited to dance in front of our guests. He’s not only a fantastic instructor, but also just a joy to be around. Highly recommend Cameron to any couple looking to feel great on the dance floor!
