Arthur Roger Gallery, ubicada en 432 Julia St en Nueva Orleans, es una galería en el Distrito de las Artes. El espacio invita a una visita relajada y discreta con una colección bien curada y espaciosa que presenta obras de Leslie Dill, Lin Emery, Mario Moore, Demond Melancon, Wayne Gonzales, Jackie Bishop y Douglas Bourgeois. The gallery has a really nice layout. The large windows allow the art to be seen in natural light which was great. The interior spaces were well thought out and draw you in for closer looks. Well curated collections.
Amazing exhibit for several incredibly talented artists! Mario Moore... his images brought tears to my eyes. I'm in awe of such talent! Demond Melancon was also showing there and present though I didn't get to meet him, his work was breathtakingly beautiful and painstaking in detail. Joyful to see. Wayne Gonzales seems to capture some type of visceral memory with his work. Plan to spend some time digesting all the pieces you'll see. Also had a personal showing of pieces by the phenomenal Jackie Bishop and Douglas Bourgeois! Some day I might even own a few of their works!
Amazing gallery. Almost felt like a contemporary art museum. The quality of the art work is top notch. Hope I'll have enough funds in the future to afford a piece from this gallery.
This is a great gallery to visit in the New Orleans Art district. The staff are friendly and very low key. You can stroll around the gallery and take your time. There are usually several artists presented so you have some variety to view. If you like to go to galleries you will like this one.
An excellent gallery showcasing some of the most unique art from super talented artists. The gallery is large enough to display the artists work properly, but not so huge that you can't take it all in. I especially loved Leslie Dill's work and could have played with Lin Emery's moving sculptures for hours. Arthur Roger Gallery is a beautiful representation of the New Orleans Arts District.
