Just what I needed before heading off to an interview. Andrea knew just how to cut my hair to keep it healthy, fresh, while maintaining length. She was so helpful with tips to keep my hair healthy and effortlessly styled which is key as I am someone who prefers wash and wear hair. The atmosphere is fun and festive particularly now around the holidays. Lots of positive energy and relaxing hair wash. I will definitely be back.
Marcus is an amazing and experienced stylist. Today I had my hair roots colored and a wash and blow dry. From the time you walk into the salon you feel a sense of peace. The beautiful decorated space is pleasant to sit and get pampered.
Best hair salon in Miami! I have worn a pixie cut for most of my life and it’s very difficult to find a hair stylist who has the knowledge and skill to do a great one. Gio is absolutely the best and I’m so fortunate to have found him. Avant Garde is just a great salon. The vibe is amazing, the staff friendly and everyone treats you like a queen. I have been going there for 4 years and absolutely love it. Based on the service the provide, the salon and its location I consider their prices to be reasonable. Highly recommend it!
Yasel is the best hairstylist I’ve found in Miami! I’ve been coming to Avant-Garde Salon & Spa for the past 10 years, and he’s the only one I trust to touch my hair. He’s a pleasure to see and truly works magic. The salon has a great atmosphere, and all the staff are super friendly. I highly recommend Avant-Garde Salon & Spa and Yasel!
Hello Salon Owner I’m reaching out regarding my recent appointment with Marcus. I was charged $380 for a cut, dye, and style. Throughout the service, Marcus appeared very nonchalant, as if he didn’t want to work with my 4C hair, even though he is also Black. I originally requested a balayage, but Marcus said he couldn’t do it because of my hair length. Instead, he offered to do a base color, which I specifically asked to be copper, but that is not the color I received. He applied dye to my hair and I was just sitting there no cap was placed on my head to secure the treatment nothing total disregard and lack of compassion. Once the base didn’t come out as expected, he decided to add highlights which I never requested and when I asked what color he was applying, he told me to “trust him.” After the service, although I wasn’t satisfied with the results, I still tipped him $60 and left. Later, I called the salon to request that someone else correct the color, but was met with hostility. Marcus answered the phone yelling, accusing me of being rude to the staff, when in fact I was simply trying to resolve the issue professionally and get my hair color corrected. I would really appreciate it if someone could review my situation and help arrange for another stylist to fix my color. Thank you for your time and understanding.
