Every dish I've tried here has been exceptional, but two standouts for me are the Mapo Tofu and the roasted duck. The Mapo Tofu is one of the best I've had -- silky tofu in a rich, spicy sauce with just the right amount of heat and depth. It's perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying over a bowl of steamed rice. The duck dish is equally impressive -- tender, juicy meat with crispy skin and a beautifully seasoned glaze. Service is consistently friendly and efficient. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it an excellent value.
Quality lobster! The thin pancakes with the Peking duck were really good. My husband liked the Maoxuewang (duck blood, tripe, and other organs in spicy Sichuan sauce). The beef tongue stir-fry was tasty with rice too. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Nice place for a family get-together.
The restaurant lives up to its name with the best peking duck in ATX! The skin was lightly crispy & the meat tasted very fresh. My mom was also impressed. Highly recommend the duck!! We also ordered salt & pepper lobster, but it was okay. I barely tasted any salt & pepper flavoring.
Get here early on weekends, place fills up quickly and u can still park in the garage with a 2 hr limit. Wait staff will ask if u want the Peking duck once u are seated. Say yes. They bring out a huge bowl of duck soup almost immediately and then they bring out the duck. Delicious crispy skin and tasty duck with all the typical sides. Well done presentation too. Prices are pretty standard but the portions seems much more generous. Our veg dish of pea sprouts for 15$ was standard but portion was huge. So were other dishes that went by to the other tables. Place filled up quickly and almost every table ordered the duck.
We came for a Sunday lunch based on a recommendation and had about a 40-45 minute wait. Inside waiting is limited, but there are seats outside. The inside waiting area has some old-style arcades. Once we got a table, we ordered the Beef Lo Mein, Steamed Braised Pork Belly Slices w/ Bamboo Shoots, and Vegetable Shrimp. I really wanted to try the roast duck, but it was quite expensive. The food we ordered was still very good and glad we tried it. Dishes are large.
