I’ve been getting my eyes checked and eyeglasses made every year in this location for many many years. I had an emergency yesterday (flashes of light) I called the store and asked if I could have a visit to get the images of my retina. Was informed that it would cost $75 cash (no insurance coverage). I agreed and got an appointment. After waiting 40 minutes, the doctor (optometrist , not an ophthalmologist) saw me and when I told her that i called to get the images to see if I had a retinal detachment, I was informed that I had to pay $39 for the images on top of the $75 dollars. Thankfully the images didn’t show any immediate damage, but even if they had. The doctor would not have been able to do anything about it, just look at them. Anyway, after bringing business to this store for at least 10 years. I feel overcharged and upset at what I was charged. Maybe the local mom and pop optometry store will treat me better in the future.
What a great experience! Dr. Barber was amazing and very helpful with my new eyeglass prescription as was the rest of the staff. I highly recommend this LensCrafters location as I have been coming here for years now whenever I need new glasses.
I went to this LensCrafters location for an eye exam and overall it was not worth the time or effort. The optometrist I saw was nice, but the entire experience felt like a factory setup. They clearly overschedule appointments. Even when booking, there were multiple appointments available for the exact same time, which should have been a red flag. Once you arrive, you wait to see the doctor, then wait again between each test, then wait again after the exam. It feels very inefficient and rushed, like they are trying to push as many people through as possible. After the exam, you are handed off to the retail side and that was the breaking point. I sat at the counter for about ten minutes just waiting to pay because there were so many people and not enough staff. At that point, I decided not to buy glasses at all. If I am spending around $400 on frames, basic customer service and efficiency should be the bare minimum. On top of that, the designer frame selection was disappointing. I drove 20 minutes to Beverly Hills specifically expecting a better selection and it was not there. That made the long wait feel even more pointless. Between the excessive waiting, overcrowding, slow checkout, and weak frame selection, I would skip this location entirely. The doctor was pleasant, but the experience as a whole does not match the area or the price point. I will be buying my frames online instead.
I just had an eye exam and was very impressed by the professionalism and attentiveness of the entire team, led by Dr. Kelly Tang, OD. Everyone was kind, thorough, and made the visit comfortable. Highly recommend this office.
Meredith and Joan were particularly wonderful. I don't recall the names of the other two women who worked with me, but they were both great, as well. I appreciated the care and helping flow from everyone.
