Kyle was great in solving our kitchen drain leaking problem. He was at our home very quickly assessed the problem and made two options for us to consider. After selecting the preferred option the work was done in a timely basis. After the work was completed the work area was cleaned probably better than when he started. Great service from a well established company. Would highly recommend Bernie Plumbing and if needed again in future would ask fro Kyle from Bernie Plumbing. Thanks again for great service. Greg P
Consumers beware of this company. They will absolutely try to rip you off! It was almost criminal how much they over priced a simple job. I have used this company before a couple of years ago and I thought they were good and so was their pricing. Fast forward to the beginning of December when my faucet (diverter) in my shower broke. Since I had used them before and was happy I called them again. They sent out a nice guy that I will not name. He had a look at the faucet and said they don’t make the cartridge for it anymore so I would need to replace it with a Moen one. The guy went to his truck and got me a quote. They quoted me $3320 plus HST for one faucet! I laughed when the guy brought the quote thinking it must be a joke. He said it’s his least favourite part of his job giving quotes. Well I guess so when you’re quoting 4 times more than everyone else. I ended up calling a local reputable company and they replaced the faucet with a Gerber(better than Moen) for $800 plus HST. This company will never get a call from me again. I can understand different quotes for the same job but being 4 times what others are charging is absolute theft. Do better Birnie Plumbing.
Thanks to Birnie Plumbing for an excellent job done. Chad showed up right away, quickly identified the issue and resolved it the same day. Chad was friendly and very knowledgeable and his experience clearly showed through in the quality of his workmanship. I would highly recommend Chad/Birnie Plumbing for any plumbing/drain issue. Called this company for a quote on two simple jobs: • Replace a tub faucet • Install a Vogo shower head For a plumber (or even an apprentice), this should be a 20–30 minute job. Instead: • The plumber showed up hours late. I had to call to find out where he was. • The quote came back at an outrageous $1,019 (see attached). • On top of that, they tried to push a membership plan. • When I called to complain, they didn’t care. This feels dishonest, greedy, and predatory. Hard to believe the 1,199 five-star reviews are genuine given my experience. Recommendation: stay as far away from this company as possible.
