We’ve had the pleasure of working with Bittersweet Bakery on multiple occasions primarily for their incredibly artistic wedding cakes and sweets, and they always deliver amazing results. Their team is talented and reliable, bringing the couple’s vision to life beautifully. The treats are as stunning as they are delicious, and they’re a joy to collaborate with. Bittersweet Pastry Shop & Cafe is an absolute gem! The place feels charming and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Their pastries are beautifully made — fresh, light, and full of flavor. I especially love their cakes and coffee; everything tastes like it’s made with real care and high-quality ingredients. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet morning or catch up with friends over something sweet. Definitely one of my favorite cafes in the city!
I placed an order for delivery — and oh boy, did you deliver! My very poorly planned surprise almost didn’t make it to the recipient, but your efforts went above and beyond my expectations. It wasn’t your fault she wasn’t home, yet you made sure the package was safely left at her door. In the end, my friend received the package — and your out-of-this-world baked goods! Because of your goodies, her worries melted away for a while. Thank you for turning my last-minute surprise into something truly special.
We wanted a local Chicago bakery, and Bittersweet was everything we hoped for. Samuel made the entire process—from tasting to delivery—so easy and personal. We even chose his favorite flavors, which ended up being ours too! The cake was gorgeous, delicious, and will forever remind us of our special day. We can’t wait to return for more sweet treats.
My first visit here after walking by on the other side of the street for the last year. I was not disappointed with the selection offered even with me showing up later in the afternoon. The coffee was fantastic and the raspberry ganache tart was everything I had hoped for.
