This tattoo shop has a professional atmosphere while also feeling cozy and welcoming. Ezra was immediately interested in speaking with me about my idea for a traditional Japanese tiger arm tattoo. He's very passionate about big cat tattoo designs and it really shows. He's a creative and thoughtful artist and worked with me on developing my tattoo concept. His rates are reasonable too! We've completed two sessions of my sleeve with more left to complete it, so I will return to this review and update with detsils and photos once completed. So far, I'm extremely pleased with Ezra's work and am so excited to see the completion of this journey.
I am absolutely THRILLED with the experience Josh gave me and will absolutely be back. He was professional from the start until the end and his art is so beautiful. He welcomed design tweaks (I changed my mind about a detail) and he had no issue resizing/placing the stencil until it was perfect. My tattoos are healing beautifully and I’m beyond stoked to have them on my arm forever! This was my best tattoo experience yet. Go to Josh at Black Gold Tattoo!!
Black Gold is the real deal and Shelby rules! I have more tattoos than I can count and enough experience of bad and good to know the difference. I was tattooed by Shelby, who is incredible. She took extra time to customize an existing design to be exactly what I wanted, and I couldn't be happier. I'm already looking forward to my next tattoo from her. I also witnessed Ezra turn out four nice tattoos while my partner and I were there (she also got a beautiful piece from Shelby). I enjoyed hearing him educate some younger patrons about tattoo culture, health, safety and ways to make sure they have the best experience regardless of where they go. All in all, I was really impressed by the shop. They clearly respect the tradition of tattooing, their customers, and one another. I'll definitely be back.
I got my very first tattoo here a few days back. Originally, I had planned to go to another tattoo shop but the energy there was too negative and felt like everyone was rushing. The guy who was going to do my tattoo was very discouraging and just too negative, making me second guess something that I’ve wanted to do forever. My mom and I found Black Gold online and decided to go there to see how the vibes were and how much they charged. As soon as we stepped in, we felt an immediate change in energy compared to the other place. We were greeted by Mischa and felt welcomed and at home. He made sure we were informed on everything. I immediately scheduled my appointment for the next week with Mischa. During my appointment, I can tell that Mischa is a perfectionist, which is something that I really appreciated for something that will be going on my skin permanently. He was very quick but took extra care when doing it. He’s also a very nice person and easy to converse with! The people who work there also seemed very friendly, as they were never shy to say Hi. Overall, the vibes were a 10/10, the people were a 10/10, and the skill was 100/10!
This place is rad. Such an incredible bunch of artists with insane talent and a huge selection of flash on hand at all time. Been going for years and will continue going til I have no room left. Even then, they do cover ups and have even remastered old pieces. Don't miss out on the Friday the 13th and Halloween flash. Insane deals that are well worth the investment. Love this place and the artists. Look em up on social media for an appointment, or just walk-in for quick flash. You won't regret it. I haven't yet.
