Damien at Black Orchid is the best barber I’ve ever had. He is attentive to detail, recommends styles and products to freshen up my look, and takes copious notes about my preferences for next time. He’s also fun to talk to during the cut. Highly recommend!
Great haircut and conversation with Damien. Super attentive to what I wanted and never cut too much before asking. As someone with curly hair, that was nice because you have to leave your hair longer than you would think to ensure the curls don’t get too short.
Update : After my first review, Travis (the owner) reached out and offered to fix my haircut at any Black Orchid location. He was super professional and understanding, and really cared about making things right. I’m changing my rating to 5 stars because the follow-up and customer service were top-notch. I’ll probably go to the Mass Ave location for future cuts, but I really appreciate how they handled everything. Original post: I have been to black orchid barbers 4-5 times so far(different locations), this location seems to feel like supercuts now. My appointment today only took 15 minutes, and I realized my hair is literally asymmetrical when I got home. This is very upsetting because it is hard to take time from our schedule and getting an asymmetrical haircut..
Best haircut I’ve ever had, hands down. Really cool environment, and Lexi was wonderful - a true professional! 5 stars - no one else is allowed to touch my hair anymore.
Great vibe all around, 10/10 cuts every single time. Totally recommend Damien. on the more premium side but totally worth it, these people care about your hair and not getting you out the door.
