Nice. Second day here in a row. People were even nicer. 70$ in baked goods in 2 days! Keep it up! And the lady gave me two cream cheeses for my bagels. I’ll keep coming back if it’s like that! Spending more and more for polite service!
Listen This Bakery is a must GO!!! Like now! It’s by far my favorite bakery! I don’t live close to the bakery but I make special trips! The employees treat you like Besties! (No Joke). There are great flavors! You won’t be disappointed! My only concern is that there should be more locations! Food Items ✅ Vibe✅ Price ✅
One of my favorite bakeries in Kansas City, the treats are delicious and the people behind the counters are warm. Great selection of savory or sweet treats with a constantly rotating menu. You’ll have to come often to try many of their delicious concoctions.
There are some really cool creations behind the counter! The variety in pastries and flavors means that you can always fall in love with something new. There are pastries I’ve never seen before (looking at you Baja Blast mochi donut) that make it clear the bakers have put lots of thought into each item. Some of my favorites were the: milk and honey mochi donut (great control of sweetness), brioche cinnamon roll, mushroom spinach croissant (there’s a spice that I didn’t expect, but I’d happily have it again), and strawberry apricot danish. Now, I can understand why BHB might not be for everyone. 1) You will not find a traditional donut here. The texture of the mochi donuts are chewy, moist, and dense - that might not be your style, but if you like mochi, you’ll like these! 2) If you want a simple and consistent menu, you probably need to look elsewhere. Some options will stay for a while, but every flavor or topping has the potential to be cycled out. 3) The service is efficient and polite, and no one has ever rushed me when I was pondering what to get. I have no problem with this at all!! But some folks might want a place where you get to develop a close relationship with the staff and other customers. BHB isn’t really meant for that - sometimes there’s just one person behind the counter and a long line of folks to help, so there isn’t time to chat. Also, there isn’t any seating here, so once you get your food, you’re out the door. This is convenient if you’re on the go, but you might want to know more about the place, people, and pastries. Overall, I would recommend giving BHB a try - the pastries are indeed tasty and fresh, so you just might discover your new favorite bakery!
Loved it! Everything, literally everything, tastes amazing. Very fresh, very flavorful. Cannot recommend ENOUGH! We particularly enjoyed the pepperoni pizza bagel - it was airy and light, and the garlic herb cream cheese paired perfectly. The caramelized onion and goat cheese puff was 🔥! You cannot pick anything wrong here.
