We couldn’t be happier with the results from Boss K9 in Cleveland! Our dog Tucker came home as a much better listener, and well-mannered. A solid transformation, a lot of the training has really stuck now 6 months months later. The trainers are highly skilled and professional—you can tell they genuinely care about the dogs and know exactly what they’re doing. We loved getting daily updates with photos on their Instagram, which made the whole process feel personal and reassuring while Tucker was away. What really sets Boss K9 apart is how they taught us how to reinforce the training at home. It wasn’t just about training Tucker—it was about empowering us as pet parents, and that hands-on education has made all the difference. Bonus: We chose day camp as an alternative to boarding. It’s perfect for busy schedules and keeps Tucker socialized without the overnight commitment. Highly recommend Boss K9 to any Cleveland dog owner looking for top-tier training with lasting results
BossK9 has been doing amazing work with our dogs lately. Freya is the 3rd of our crew we’ve sent to them. She has really bad anxiety, especially in public around other dogs. Boss is doing an amazing job working through her anxiety currently. They also helped with Kai’s nervousness in new situations and some reactivity he had. He listens so well now. When he gets a little too rowdy with the other dogs he responds instantly to commands. We were concerned being able to have him around fosters and he’s recently been doing amazing with our foster and that’s such a relief. He comes to softball tournaments and is able to sit in a bed stay during our games. Valkyrie can be super vocal and bossy and they helped her work through some of that in public as she can often come off “aggressive” with new meets. She still has some excitement with new meets but she is able to calm down quicker than prior. Walking her on a leash has been absolute night and day, I don’t have to worry about pulling and being all over the place now. Her excitement with new people is easier to overcome now that she will sit on a bed stay as people enter the house. When our 4th, Percy, is healed from surgery the plan is to enroll him as well to help with his high energy around new people. He doesn’t realize how big he is and just wants to jump on everyone. They have given us the tools to keep working with our crew, while still taking fosters in. And it’s amazing to see them care about the dogs so much. I would have been so afraid to send my dogs off for a board and train prior to meeting Anna and her Bossk9 team. We even have a safe place to board them when needed which previously I was to nervous to attempt anywhere due to some of their behaviors. Thank you so much Boss K9
I’ve been meaning to write this review for a year! My sweet pup, Margot, spent 3 weeks with BossK9 last year. She was about 10 months old at the time and we had tried the “cheap” way of training by going through one of the pet stores. I heard about BossK9 through Muttley Crue Rescue, which is where we adopted Margie from. I was blown away by the pup I brought home after those 3 weeks. I could walk her without any pulling, she completely stopped jumping on people (of course a few corrections were needed), and I finally became confident that she would come to me when I called her. While she was with BossK9, they sent updates and videos of how Margot was doing. I loved seeing her on Instagram. They responded to me very quickly if I reached out. Overall, the experience was amazing. I tell everyone I know about BossK9 if I see they have a new pup or a dog with maybe has some “selective hearing” 😆. Totally worth every penny! And once you send your pup, you have an “in” with them! You can board, groom, or even bring your pup in for a training refresher. Highly recommend to anyone who is searching for a training option. This IS your best option!
After doing research years ago I knew when the time came and I got a puppy I would be calling boss K9 . I’ve been following this company on IG since before the doors opened and have loved seeing HUNDREDS of dogs lives being changed due to Anna and her team . The dedication to changing dogs for the better and their owners life’s is why we chose boss k9 . Fast forward Now that I got my dream dog a Great Dane puppy … I called boss k9 and immediately signed up for off leash classes . I met with Anna at boss k9 and her Zuma n me immediately clicked ! We met in house every other week and I learned what was needed to move forward for the next week of training . I have two kids but stayed consistent on doing / two 15 min training sessions a day/ and working on bed stays for all meals (now up to two Hours my dog will stay in a spot that is instructed ) . I am dedicated to having an amazing dog we can take all over America on our adventures and put the work in to make her so . At 7 months old we are now taking her to brewery’s / tball games / patio restaurants / farmers markets / hikes by myself with two kids and so on . I’m so happy to see how this training progresses as Zuma gets older . So Thankful for Anna she’s stuck with us for life !
Anna’s team is worth every penny invested into your pups future. My skiddish female field golden retriever was in puppy school at boss from month 4-6 and then participated in 4 weeks of their new daytime training program at 14 months old. She’s learned SO much and we have the tools we needed to be adventurous and brave in a safe way! I’ve seen them transform high anxiety dogs into confident and well behaved members of the family. Thank you for all you do to support extreme behavior cases, saving K9 lives and keeping dogs out of shelters. 💛
