Didn't show up for the appointment. I called 30 minutes after and got what I'm pretty sure was an ai bot on the phone. Tech was called, didn't answer his phone. An email was sent to him so he could get back to me "sometime today". I called again an hour and a half after he was supposed to arrive to cancel, the woman who answered was very polite and helpful, but did ask which company I was calling about, like she answers the phone for more than one pest control company. Tech again didn't answer his phone.
Kyle Johnson with BugOut does a great job servicing my home’s interior and exterior for my quarterly pest control. Kyle is courteous, professional, timely and thorough. Before he arrives he sends a confirmation appointment reminder text. Day of appointment, he sends a text with his estimated time of arrival. Upon arriving, he asks about any specific problems or areas needing special attention. Once the job is completed he sends a complete written report of the job (what was done, areas treated and chemicals used). I am well satisfied with Kyle’s service provided.
Emily works our region and is hands down the best technician we have had out here. She is always very thorough with her visits. From the moment she shows up and greets us, asks if anything has changed since her last visit, and then will proceed to get our house and property squared away for us. We love having her as our technician and highly recommend her with BugOut
We had a great experience with our exterminator. They were polite, professional, and very thorough, taking the time to explain the process and address all of our concerns. The service was efficient and well done, and we felt confident everything was handled properly. Highly recommend their services.
Run far far away from this company. I was a BlueChip Pest customer for 6+ years. (We switched to them when our prior company only wanted to do outdoor sprays, which were ineffectual.) Bug out was okay at first. Our technician was great! But, the company kept hounding me to have a "free" whole house inspection as part of their new services. I didn't have time for the 2+ hours it would take, so I had put it off. In early 2025, we had an ant issue in our kitchen (water seekers, not food, so difficult to eliminate), and called to ask about spraying (we had a service contract, so they were supposed to come regularly). They said they couldn't treat without the house inspection "to see where they were coming from", but instead the inspection was really geared at trying to up-sell us DRAMATICALLY. We were quoted $8,100 to have our attic re-insulated + $1,750 to have our gutters guarded, and they stated that would help with our bug problem because there was a special no-bug coating to the insulation. When I pointed out that our bug problem didn't exist on our 2nd floor, it was only on the 1st floor, and was that odd to have them ignore the water (bathrooms) on 2nd floor if the issue was in the attic, my concerns were waved away. Eventually, they wore me down and I agreed to proceed with this insane attic/gutter plan (I called back the next day to cancel - which is everyone's right. You have 3 days to cancel any door to door sales agreement, even if you sign). After I agreed to the attic thing, I was finally told that the inspector couldn't treat and didn't even carry that kind of material with him, but they could get me in the system in a few more days (by now, I had been waiting for the inspection appt for a week and living with the ants stressing me out)! Additionally, altho I had been a BugOut customer at that point for months, I was now going to be charged $300 to just get on their bug plan (that I already had!), and then $60/month for 3x/yr servicing for 2200sf. I know this is an epic long review and will thus be ignored by most, but I do want to warn others - this company will say and do anything to get your business, but they are scam artists of the highest order. Do not let them into your home for a "free" assessment. Run far away! It took me 3 emails and 4 phone calls in 1 week to successfully get someone to send me an email confirming my cancellation, and before that point, I received several different calls letting me know they were sending technicians my way. I then had to field those calls and assure the people that I had cancelled their service and under no circumstances could they come to my home. The day I cancelled BugOut, I called Rottler Pest, got an appointment 2 days later, had a less insane inspection, got pest treatment that same day from the same inspector person, and got my ant issues rectified. Note: I did pay $300 to get on their plan too, but it's then $48/month for 6x/yr servicing, and free to call whenever in between. Also, although I thought I was getting great service from BlueChip in the past, because it was better than the DIY methods we had tried, it is MILES better with Rottler. Half the time, I don't even need interior service, because they do such an awesome job that nothing even penetrates the barrier!
