Excellent service, great tasting wine with a diverse selection. I had the 2Oz wine tasting with 5 different type of pairings. Ambiance of the restaurant gives it an edge. Looking forward to more visits! Congratulations to the team.
This was my second visit to Buyers & Cellars, and the experience was just as phenomenal as the first. My server, Gabe and the owner, Rob always provide an unforgettable experience. I opted to try out the blind tasting flight. I admittedly am not very well versed in wine knowledge, but I knew I'd be in good hands as the staff here are extremely knowledgeable. Every single wine that was selected for me was an absolute win for me, I was super impressed. It was also quite interesting to learn about each of the wines at the end of the tasting experience. To accompany the wine, I went for charcuterie board (with cheese!) for a second time. They really put a lot of value on this board, and focus on locally sourced ingredients. They make all their pickles in house and they're the star of the show! This is easily the best charcuterie board you can get in Ottawa. Another neat thing to note, is they do not accept tips at this establishment. It's a really refreshing approach in a world of an ever-increasing tipping expectations. Staff are paid above a living wage as well, which makes me feel good as a customer. They've really set an impressive standard that other establishments should take note of! Thanks again for another wonderful experience, I will definitely be back.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. We went for the blind tasting and the charcuterie and cheese board. From the moment we sat down, the service was attentive and professional yet very casual, nothing felt fussy or pretentious. The space itself has been renovated beautifully and is very welcoming. We were asked what sort of wines and enjoyed and they catered a nice selection for us to blind taste. What we did not expect was the amazing charcuterie board with local ON and QC cheese and in-house made preserves and pickles. It was truly fantastic and complimented the wines really well. After few sips of the wine and the charcuterie, each of the different wines were explained to us in such detail that truly shows the passion of the staff. A highly recommended experience that truly elevated a special occasion.
We walked in without expectations and were warmly greeted by the owner, Rob. We shared two blind flights—five whites and five reds. Each wine was presented with passion and in-depth knowledge, as if the winemaker were right there with us. It was a rare and memorable experience that I highly recommend. The charcuterie and cheese board (some of it homemade) looked and tasted incredible. Everything was thoughtfully explained. Buyers+Cellars is a must-visit for any wine lover.
What a marvelous place! The atmosphere is stunning. I came here with eight girlfriends for a blind wine tasting. We had a private room at the back with the ability to play our own music list on their system. There was a lot of laughter and conversation. The wine was accompanied by the most beautiful charcuterie board I have ever seen with splendid choices of cheeses, pate, jams, and bread. It was very filling despite sharing it between us. The wine selection was unique, featuring wines that you can't access through the LCBO. Each wine was described to us in great detail. What a gem this place is! I highly recommend a visit. It is the perfect place to spend a social evening with friends.
