I was at this venue when I was targeted by a ‘security guard’ for sitting down and he claimed I was ‘too drunk’. I disagreed but I complied anyway and drank water. An hour later when I was waiting for the group of girls I was with to come out of the bathroom, the same security guard came up to me with 2 additional security guards and accused me of being ‘too drunk’ when I was standing in the hallway waiting for my friends to exit the bathroom. He then flexed his ‘power’ and kicked me out although I had not done anything wrong nor had I disobeyed any orders. If you want to go to a venue where the loser security guards (not all of them, one was fantastic) are having a power trip, then I will whole heartedly suggest this venue. If you don’t want to be targeted for no reason, then I would probably avoid the loser security guards bullying people in groups to make themselves feel powerful. Music was good. 1/5. Do better.
Honestly one of the worst bar experiences I’ve had. The service was awful, staff were rude and unfriendly, and every time we ordered cocktails it felt like we were annoying them, despite paying for overpriced drinks. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and the staff genuinely looked like they hated their jobs. How hard is it to be nice or even just friendly? On top of that, the food was terrible and tasted stale. Plenty of better bars around where you can spend your money without being treated like a nuisance. Would not return.
We followed a small neon sign down a hidden flight of stairs after work to see where the music was coming from. The basement was filled with bright colors and a very high-energy crowd that made us forget all about our long week. I really enjoyed the tacos because they were spicy and fresh, which was the perfect snack to share with my friends. The staff were very quick with our orders and even joined in on the fun by making everyone feel really welcome. It is such a hidden and lively little spot that feels like a secret party right in the middle of the city.
Wow! What a terrible experience. Paid $75 per person for a reserved space from 6-8pm just for people to continuously crash into our space and staff deny drink requests. At the very start of the night we were told our drinks had to be substituted because they didn’t have some, fine. In that same moment we asked to swap one of the alcohol drinks to a soft drink option as I do not drink alcohol, which we were given the green light for. When I went to get another Coke Zero the bartender went to charge me and kept shaking his head and speaking over me condescendingly that he’d actually *just* spoken to his manager and he’d said we have to be charged for soft drinks, to which I responded with I don’t drink alcohol and we were told otherwise by the blonde girl with highlights, glasses and long nails. Incredibly disappointing night for such a special event. Awful and expensive. Avoid! Just what is the point of paying for a space if there’s no management for entitled people from outside barging in? & the food was foul. Plain nachos with guac that looks like something you could find in a toilet? No thanks. As someone that works in hospitality, you guys need to do some serious training and reflection on how to treat guests. It’s what we get paid to do, literally. Do better.
Snuck in just before the late night rush… we have been before but spotted the menu has been updated & now has spicy chicken & chilli beef tacos - absolutely hit the spot!! Staff were amazing, tequila selection always on point. It was a little quiet when we got there but right on 10pm about 20 people turned up within 2 minutes then the party was on :)) great night out - thank you Caballitos!
