The installer significantly damaged the wood baseboards throughout the building. California Carpets refused to take accountability and ignored all communication regarding the damage.
Our experience in carpeting two bedrooms and bathrooms with California Carpet in SF was excellent, thanks to the help, professionalism, knowledge and follow through from Tom Elizalde, our sales representative and Luis, our installer. End result is beautiful and much appreciated. Highly recommend.
I recently recarpeted my bedroom with California Carpet and had a fantastic experience. I visited the store a few times to look at samples, and both Eric and Nata were incredibly helpful and friendly each time. They made the process easy and enjoyable, answering my questions and helping me find the right choice. The installation was quick, seamless, and high quality. I’m very happy with the result and would definitely recommend California Carpet to anyone looking for new flooring.
We were told by the salesperson that the floors we purchased could be sanded 2-3x which was a major factor in our decision to purchase. Four years later, every contractor we’ve contacted refuses to sand them, saying it would damage or ruin the floors. This is not a minor detail, it directly affects the longevity and appearance of the product. Had we been given accurate information, we never would have bought them and gone with a different option. Their sales pitch was extremely misleading and needs to be updated to reflect the current market reality of these floors - aka contractors will refuse to touch them. They refuse to talk to us about it too.
