We found Camino Verde Pet Resort 2 - 3 years ago. The kennel we had used for years closed during the pandemic, and I was beginning to think I was never going to find another kennel where I felt comfortable boarding our two dogs. We adopted the dogs from a local rescue group, and while they are generally well-behaved, they have a few personality quirks as a result of mistreatment before they were removed from their original home. In particular, one dog has a tendency to be a little fear aggressive, and they are both a little slow to adapt to new situations. I thus was looking for a kennel staffed by people who understand dogs and are willing to be patient while the dogs work through the process of settling in to a new situation. It seemed like every kennel I looked at had at least one or two horror story reviews of dogs being seriously injured, lost, and even a few where the dog died while being boarded. When I read Camino Verde's reviews, however, the worst thing I saw was that some people were quite upset that their dog came home with fleas. Well, duh, that is going to happen when your dog is in close quarters with other dogs and you haven't used any flea and tick preventative. Before we boarded our dogs the first time, we went and visited the kennel, and we were very impressed with what we saw. All the dogs seemed happy, well-cared for, and had plenty of fresh water. All the cages were clean. We have boarded our dogs at Camino Verde a number of times over the past 2 -3 years, and the dogs have always been happy and well-adjusted when we pick them up. I highly recommend this kennel. The staff have been great about dealing with our dogs, and their online reservation system is very user friendly.
I had a great experience with this pet resort. Everyone was friendly, professional, and clearly cared about my dog. The grooming team did an incredible job — my pup came out looking fresh, soft, and smelling great. She was relaxed and happy when I picked her up, which says a lot. I’ll definitely be bringing her back!
I absolutely love the groomer, Lisa! More importantly, my 2 pups and cat love her! She's very gentle and loving and my pets are obviously comfortable with her. They look forward to seeing her, which is new for them. They used to hate going to the groomer. Her grooms are on point! My pups are gorgeous when she works her magic! And, she's always done what's best for their health and happiness. If you want your pets to have the best, see Lisa!!!
I absolutely love and recommend this place!! The price is awesome but what's better is that they did amazing communication when I left my two babies there. For once coming back getting my babies they looked healthy, happy, and they even still had their manners/training. Now I will keep using them and know I'll have peace of mind for once leaving my babies behind when I can't take them to certain trips. 🙏🏼 All staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Yuri was assigned to my two. She did an absolute wonderful job. She was always professional and communicated very often with me. Sent pictures, updates and always asked permission before giving my baby anything new. I'm so pleased with them.
The lady who groomed my golden retriever was so nice, she makes sure to show her love of dogs when it comes to giving them the best full treatment!
