Update: They provided me a refund, but were not able to solve the problem. Repair Review. Do not expect them to be gentle with your laptop. I first gave my laptop at the Sunnyvale location for repair around July as the screen was turning black randomly. They couldn’t diagnose and returned the laptop in 2 weeks. I was continuing to have the same issue, so I gave the laptop at the SF location, but it was eventually transported to their main location in South Bay. They took their own sweet time and were able to diagnose that a power chipset needed replacement. I collected the laptop in September, only to realize they had scratched up my laptop pretty bad. In the 4 years of having the laptop there was not a single scratch, and now you can see in the video it ended up having so many of them. $25 compensation over the bill hardly helped. Thats not the only thing, they damaged the speakers in the process of replacing the chipset. So now here we go again giving the laptop back to them under warranty for speaker repair. Again a waiting game and I pick up the laptop in October. Things seemed to work for some time but the screen went blank again today and restarted, the fan has been the loudest ever since and I no longer have the faith or the patience to return it to them to take care of it. All this back and forth from July to October and they turned my smooth running laptop in to a noisy and scratched up one. Overall not a very good experience, I would look for a different shop.
The best computer repair shop in SF. I have used other repair shop too. But central computer gave me clearer explanation about diagnosis and better communication during the repair process. Also, they notified me what they will repair and how much it will cost, and asked me if it would be okay to proceed for the price, instead of bombing me with a bill for hundreds of dollars without notification(which other shop did). Here is cheaper too. Highly recommend.
I bought an RTX 4060 Ti 16gb card from them little over a year ago, and have not been disappointed at all! ordering from a place online, then shipping the parts out is always stressful. they were very easy to deal with, shipped my card out the next day. I received it in perfect shape! have been gaming flawlessly this whole time! I would absolutely buy more parts from them in future PC builds!
Absolutely incredible service. On a holiday, with no tech in store, Julian helped me sort out a BIOS issue and install a new CPU. He took great care with my machine, communicated at every step, and we made sure everything was running smoothly before I walked out the door. Julian, if you see this, thanks so much for your help!
