Tessa Holm is the best! She tailors my hair color and formula to my hair goals (and is always successful), is able to translate my descriptions for hair cuts and styles into exactly what I pictured, isn’t afraid to brainstorm with me, and is SUPER receptive to feedback. She is so bubbly and amazing to talk to. Truly feels like getting my hair done by a friend ♥️
When I first moved to Grand Rapids, it was so hard to find a good stylist. A friend referred me to Katie and after my first color with her I knew I found the right spot! She knows how to color my hair and cut the perfect layers!! She is efficient, so sweet and a great teacher! Prior to Katie I only let my stylist from my hometown cut my layers, but Katie crushed it!! My husband even asked if I have extensions in haha— it added so much volume 😊
Sam is an amazing hair stylist who is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to teach me about hair care products and future treatment options. She takes the time to listen to my opinions and shows genuine excitement about making each experience great. Sam goes out of her way to make me feel confident and truly heard when I share my concerns and desired outcomes for every appointment. I really appreciate her thoughtful recommendations and clear explanations, which help me feel comfortable and informed. I will absolutely continue going to Sam for all of my future appointments.
I absolutely love coming here to get my hair done by Tessa. She is incredibly talented, patient, and detail-oriented. I have very long hair, which can be challenging when it comes to highlights, but she handles it effortlessly every single time. The results are always flawless, perfectly blended, bright, and exactly what I ask for. Tessa truly listens, explains the process, and makes sure you’re comfortable the entire appointment. I always leave feeling confident and obsessed with my hair. I’ll be adding before and after photos because the transformation speaks for itself. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful and professional results!
I was visiting from out of town and booked an updo at Cheeky Strut for a black-tie event. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience! My stylist, Abby, was wonderful—she listened carefully, looked through the photos I brought, and created a style that turned out beautifully. She was easy to work with and I really enjoyed getting my hair done. The salon itself is charming, with lots of natural light and a welcoming vibe. I highly recommend Abby and would absolutely return to Cheeky Strut for another appointment!
